"My furnace stopped working on a Saturday morning; a city utilities service employee determined that it was too old to fix. I called Krause that weekend and left a message, and Mr. Krause called me back first thing Monday morning. He came to my house the next day to take a look, described several choices of new furnaces (explained features, prices, etc.), and called a few hours later with his recommendation, based on how long I plan to live in the house and what improvements I have in mind (e.g., electrical upgrades, installing central air conditioning - which he encouraged me to do later when the cost would be lower, as a matter of seasonal pricing). He gave me precise price and tax credit figures, and offered to revise his schedule to install the furnace one day sooner (as the house temperature had dropped to the 40s), but my work schedule couldn't accommodate that. Mr. Krause also had the foresight to provide a programmable thermostat to replace my old one. Two gentlemen arrived promptly Friday morning as scheduled, and worked steadily to remove the old furnace and install a new one, breaking only for a quick lunch. They cleaned up thoroughly; there was nothing I needed to do after they completed the job. They were courteous, and quite patient as I familiarized myself with the features on furnace and programmable thermostat. Mr. Krause called that weekend to make sure that everything was going well. I received paperwork, detailing my warranty coverage, by mail soon after that. I will be asking Krause Sheet Metal and Heating and Cooling to install air conditioning later this year. I highly recommend this company."
