"The work was fine. However, after they left, I felt like an idiot for allowing them to push me into buying other-related services that resulted in the price more than doubling from the estimate. I knew that $99 was low for duct cleaning, so I talked about what other charges there might be & added dryer vent cleaning and furnace cleaning making the estimate $199. The technician suggested cleaning the air conditioner compressor outside, the water heater & some part of the furnace not already covered. I agreed to these extra services & expected to pay for them. However, I don't know why there was more to the furnace than that for which I already agreed to pay. And, I consider the amount charged for these services to be way out of line. I was an idiot for agreeing, but I don't like having been put in that position and I think they saw a sucker & took advantage of her. I'd prefer to know about other potential up-selling when I am making the appointment. If that doesn't matter to you, their work seemed fine."

Dani in the office was friendly and helpful and scheduled technician Justin to come out on a Saturday. He was pleasant, considerate, and professional. Justin replaced the compressor and installed a motherboard update. The fridge is working better now than when it was new. We are very pleased with the service provided by D&T, definitely recommend them, and would call again for any future appliance repairs."

"Seth arrived early Monday morning to fix a leaking and ice-covered recent model refrigerator freezer and check a microwave. He was knowledgeable, thorough, persistent in finding the cause of the problem, neat, helpful, and kind. He found and explained the problem, then fixed it completely (until or unless the same drain block happens again). It took some hard work and time but he was patient and efficient in getting it done. The microwave turned out to be an electrical issue but he explained the possible causes in an understandable way. I am very pleased with his work. $75 paid for service call through home appliance warranty company."

"I discovered water leaking from the kitchen faucet Sunday, water was pooled under the sink. I called and left a message Sunday afternoon. I got a call from the scheduler at 7:47 the following morning. The scheduler promised a plumber would show up between 10-2 and he would call before he came. He called at about 11:30, was there 15 minutes later, spent about 10 minutes to fix the problem, then showed me what the problem was and what I can do if it happens again. He was nice, professional and tolerant of my curious cat. I believe the problem was resolved within about 12 hours of my original call, and I didn't even request emergency or priority service. I was very happy with how it went!"

"We were unaware of an extra-large build-up of lint in our dryer.  The lint eventually caught fire and we had a small fire inside our dryer.  Fortunately, the fire did not spread and nothing was damaged except for the dryer.  We called SOS to see if the dryer could be repaired -- we were thinking it would need to be replaced.  The technician came out, inspected the dryer and told us it could definitely be salvaged.  We were thrilled.  He worked on the dryer immediately, but had to schedule the vent cleaning a few days later.  However, we were not charged until the vent cleaning was completed.  SOS provided me with one of the best experiences I have had with a repair company.  I was thrilled with the end result!"

"Emailed company for an estimate to repair or replace some interior doors. Got a prompt reply and set up a time for the appointment. The owner assessed the job and told us that repair was all that was needed, not replacement. He also gave us some insight into a future job that we are considering and could consider the company for. The repairs were able to be scheduled within a week and the job was well done. Only snag was a little mix up in the time that the job was to start, but this was very minor. Overall we are very happy with the experience. We very much appreciate the experience level of the people we dealt with (Jim and Tom).

"The technician emptied the freezer, which was in the basement, to work on the part that needed repair. Then he neglected to put anything back into the freezer, including a turkey I had bought for Christmas and a rack of ribs. Two days after he left, I went out of town for two weeks. The turkey actually exploded and spewed its liquid all over everything, which had to be discarded. I let AHS know and they couldn't even bother to call me or follow up on this. I'm considering not renewing my contract with them because of the quality (or lack thereof) of many of the providers they send."
