"Tom and his staff do professional work. He replaced our 24 year old chimney cap with a beautiful stainless steal one that has a lifetime warranty. He is down to earth and personable and dedicated to making sure his customers are 100% satisfied. He makes it VERY easy to correspond with him via text bc he responds quickly regarding appointments, as well as questions morning, day and night. He is affordable as well as a hard worker who shows up promptly on the day and time that was scheduled. We have known him for four years and highly recommend him to our family and friends."

"I would HIGHLY recommend Chimney Cricket. I thought the price quote was a bit high on the front end but when I actually saw how extensive the work was it was money well spent. Phil and Brooklyn showed up right on time, were very professional, worked for 8 hours straight with normal breaks and kept the area as clean as possible as they went. Phil told me he has been in this line of work since 1990 and it was obvious he knew his stuff. On the front end Peter and Ginger did a great job with the appointment setting and flexibility that was needed negotiating the contract. I had been using another fireplace company for 10 years who stopped returning calls. Glad I stumbled upon Chimney Cricket on Angie's List. All in all this company has my full endorsement."

"Disciple demolished and rebuilt our chimney. They did fantastic work. The brick matched our house very well. They were a friendly and responsive company. The company was very professional and paid a lot of attention to detail. I would definitely recommend them for chimney repair."

"I called John because my wife agreed to a chimney sweep company which called us and came to clean our chimney, telling her that it would be $120. Luckily I was here when vacuumed out our zero clearance fireplace chimney. They did find cracks in the bottom and back;prefab panels in the fireplace fire box and they did a 'free' inspection of our furnace chimney which he then found some water 'damage' . They then told me that they would have to re-cement the furnace fireplace cracks and also cement the panels in the fireplace which they said will cost about $1200, they kept pressing that this needs to be done to prevent CO2, when I hesitated he said they would give me a 10% discount if I paid in cash. That set off some red flags in my head and as they were an out of state company we didn't even call. I told them to write up what they thought I needed and I'll discuss it with my wife and get back to them, after writing up the 'estimate' he said if you call before Monday then he can cut off another $150, which again made me even more leery. After they left I checked Angie's List (which I would have done if I knew my wife made the appointment) and found good reviews for Let There Be Light Chimney Sweep so I called them and left a message to see what their price would be for the work. I got a call around 8PM that evening from John - I was impressed that he called back that same evening. When I told him our situation he explained that I was approached by a typical 'gypsy' chimney sweep company and explained they did all the 'tricks' to get pressure you to pay for something that you didn't need. We spent the next hour or so on the phone discussing what I could do to fix the fireplace. He told me to make a cardboard template of the back and bottom panels of the fireplace and go to a metal shop to get them to create a 1/4 inch piece to fit in the fireplace, using fireplace cement to fill the cracks and then put in the steel piece. He said that will stop future fires from causing any more cracks and it will actually help the heat reflecting back to the room (not to mention painting it with heat paint will help the look), all total it should cost less then $150. He also mentioned that I should NOT cement the side panels which the NY company wanted to do because that will probably cause more problems with heat expansion (which implies either ignorance or they were looking to create future work). So thanks to Angie List I was able to get in contact with John who really impressed me with his honesty, knowledge, and professionalism. Not only did I save about a thousand bucks or so but his suggestion will increase the efficiency of my fireplace, needless to say when I do need a chimney sweep I'll be using Let There Be Light Chimney Sweep!"

"Duane's people replaced the roof and all rotten wood, then then put siding and capping on the shed to match the house which they had done earlier. They put capping at the window to stop any future leakage. Everything went great and it looks like a totally new shed. for less than it would of cost me to tear it down and buy a new one."

"Tony & Andy showed up right on time and got right to work.  They removed the old chimney cap which had a couple of scratches on it.  Then the chase cover.  They took down the cap and took it apart and painted it with a heat proof paint.  Then they installed and caulked the new chase cover, then the replaced the cap. <br /> They did a really clean nice job, and I even got a discount using an Angie's list coupon,  The original price was 1165.00, it came down to 1106.75. <br /> Another fine job by Estates!!  Tony & Andy were amazing. <br /> Thanx for a job well done!! <br /> Lee Murphy <br />"

"They were thoroughly polite, prompt, and professional, reporting on every step of the process with photos. They arrived when they said they would and worked full days. All debris and material was removed by them, not just left for the streets department as many do. It was a complete roof rebuild, and I am absolutely satisfied with every aspect of the job. They were marvelous to work with, and Jay is the sort of person who makes dealing with a local business a pleasure. He called quickly after I asked for a quotation, explained the entire process, and what could have been a nightmare turned into a dream. I worked in customer service supervision for much of my career, and they maintain the highest standard."

"We had Wells come to do a standard cleaning of our fireplace in March (cost about $100). We also asked them to look at one of our chimneys which we think had a slow leak into our bedroom as the paint was discolored. They could not get on the roof at that time because of the late snowfalls. They came back in April and reviewed the job, taking photos of both chimneys. One of the chimneys needed more work than the other but both were fixed for $1200 total. They were very professional about setting up the appointments, arriving on time to do the work, etc. <br />"

"We had the hardest time getting anyone to do the work we needed on our chimney. Joyland was the happy exception! They responded promptly, got us a reasonable estimate, and then quickly finished the work in professional fashion. They actually came in UNDER the estimated cost. I'd work with them again without hesitation!"
