"Overall I was impressed with Southern Home Solutions. After meeting with five window replacement companies, we went with SHS. Their price was competitive and reasonable. They did not use high-pressure sales tactics such as hard sells and "today-only" pricing that seem to be common in the window industry. The quote and details about the windows was more detailed than the quotes I received from competitors. The project manager, David, was helpful and accommodating; he was willing to meet on evenings or weekends, and he answered my questions and any requests for quote adjustments promptly. One thing I didn't like was that they did not inform me before the installation that the replacement windows are insert replacements, meaning that you end up losing 1-1.5 inches of glass on each side due to the extra frame."

"I had a major remodeling project and got help from their sales manager / designer who was the best! Too bad he left the company. The building manager who coordinated my deck build left the company after just a week. The electrician is wonderful & so is their primary tile subcontractor, but everyone else you need to watch closely. Surface Bella is very expensive and I doubt I got my money's worth, but at least they didn't run out on the job. They also tend to cut corners."

"Jim Tripp and the team at Express Sunrooms did a wonderful job on my patio cover. I wanted something that would provide some shade from the sun which sets over the fence in my backyard and heats my living room and kitchen up a ton in the summer. They came out, worked with me to get HOA approval, and then did a wonderful job installing it. I was very impressed at how clean they left my backyard and at the quality of the work. I also thought the price was more than reasonable. "Matt Bunn and the crew and subs from Wheelhouse Construction transformed an unfinished store room on the second floor of my 1937 home into a beautiful, modern bathroom and walk in closet. I told Matt what I was looking for and he designed the project in a computer program that showed plan and 3D elevations that enabled me to envision the finished project. This was a very complex undertaking and Wheelhouse handled it flawlessly. There was no plumbing in the end of the house where the new bath was to go. So Matt's crew had to figure out how to get supply and drain lines into the area. It required breaking into walls on the first floor and in the basement--but the crew was careful place temporary barriers to contain dust and debris while the work progressed. Budget allowances were provided for flooring, lighting, plumbing fixtures, etc. The allowances were, for the most part, realistic. So they were able to bring the job to completion very close to the original estimate. I am very pleased with the results and can wholeheartedly recommend Wheelhouse for any renovation or new construction project that you may want to undertake."
