I intended to prime and paint myself to save money. <br /> I had read all the reviews on Angie's List and thought I knew what I was up for. Roscoe is one of the nicest people I've met, and a little informal (but very respectful). I wish the work lived up to that standard. I thought everything was fine until I started painting. <br /> I expected some amount of surface irregularity since my house is 70 years old. What I found during painting was a lot of scratches/gouges in the drywall, and some waviness on new walls that should have been pretty true. Long story short, I don't feel like he did me any favors. Of all the contractors that have been on the job, this is one I absolutely will not have back to do any more work. In fact, I am about to hire another drywall finisher to fix an issue in our bathroom. <br /> He didn't clean up after himself and left more of a mess downstairs than I expected. "Simply put they were great!!  The date and cost is approximate because it has been a few months ago.  I was at a loss on who to call to do this job.  I used Compton Contracting because of the previous reviews I saw on Angies List. I couldn't have made a better choice. Dave and his crew were remarkable.  Everything was done, delivered and installed as promised. "<p>Battlefield delivered what they promised for the price. We called Thursday morning and a crew was on site Saturday morning to begin repairs after a pipe failure (The owner Neri and Douglas). They repaired the leak and restored water to our home by Saturday night. On Monday they were back to finish the pipe replacement (14 fixtures in all were repiped). The drywall and painting crew arrived on Tuesday to begin the wall repairs. The County Building Inspector arrived at 11:00 am Tuesday and certified the plumbing work. The inspector was pleased with the quality of the installation. After that, Alexander and Marcus did their drywall magic on the walls followed by the paint. This took 2 days. It was impossible to tell where the holes had been. They did an excellent job on the drywall. Nightly cleanup and final cleanup were good. Painting was good overall, but the team rushed toward the end. I pointed out a few missed spots and they were immediately fixed. </p> Overall, we are very satisfied with the quality of the work and the professionalism of Battlefield Plumbing."
