Customers say: Quick response
"Bob was quick to respond to our service call. He took the time to explain the furnace and a/c system, things that need to be looked out for and how to care for the system. Passed on some great knowledge of the furnace and a/c. Also gave us excellent tips on a furnace filter and a/c cover. Would definitely recommend him to anyone....anytime. His knowledge on furnace's is excellent and great to work with."

"First appointment was a week out(Friday) from original call which was ok since furnace was still running. Reggie arrived within the specified window calling ahead to verify that arrival time was ok. I showd him to the furnace and had him listen to the sound on a video I had made. He agreed that the fan motor was going bad. He called the parts warehouse and ordered the part. Told me it would be at his office on Monday. Made repair appointment for Wednesday. Gave me estimate of repair and got my OK. Arrived on Wednesday and completed repair in half an hour. Tested. AOK. Reggie put on "booties" on both visits to avoid bringing in dirt/wet. Everything was explained clearly. Cost was as provided on first visit. Very satisfied with the whole experience."

"When Airpros installed our central air a few years ago, I got a quote for a tankless water heater. We waffled on it for a long while, but our old one was getting kind of flaky. When I got back in touch, Mark honored the existing quote despite a slight price increase in the water heater. They came on the day stated, installed the new water heater, and removed the old. They left no mess and were done when they said they'd be. This is exactly how all home improvement jobs ought to go!"

"Highly recommend! Family owned business, very professional and fast service. Very responsive, answered all questions, laid out possible options, replaced the furnace same day while other vendors quoted a waiting time of 2-3 weeks for new customers."

"I struggled a bit in determining how to rate the service I just received from Harts Services. I would happily give Harts a 5 star rating if it was only about the serviceâ ¦but itâ s not just about the service. Thereâ s another factor I have considered after the fact and having done so I have since changed my mind. It wasn't a lot of work but it was definitely work that needed to be done. Specifically, I needed to have two water supply valves under the kitchen sink replaced and I needed the toilet gasket seal at the base of the downstairs toilet replaced. Thatâ s it! I had already removed the kitchen faucet and replaced it with a new one so no work was required there but the valves under the sink were old and not compatible with modern faucet designs so they needed to be replaced before I could use the faucet. Based on the reviews I read through Home Advisor, I decided to go with Harts Services. I have absolutely no problem with their customer service or the person who came out. Both the customer service person and the technician who came out were great; very personable and friendly. I also have no problem with the quality of the work performed. It was excellent! The technician was very competent and efficient and took care to keep the work areas clean. Hereâ s what I have a problem with: the cost! Thatâ s it. The technician was in the house for about an hour. He got the two valves removed and replaced in about 20 minutes and the toilet gasket seal removed and replaced also in about 20 minutes. The total visit lasted about an hour give or take a few minutes. For this service, I was charged nearly $1,100...and that was including a veteran's discount! Iâ m thinking the parts were $50-$75 at most. Rather than charging by the hour, this was â parted outâ and each valve replacement was charged as a separate job (at over $360 per job) as was the toilet gasket! So I have to ask; a thousand dollars an hour for a plumber??? Now Iâ ve been on this earth over 60 years. Iâ m not a plumber but I do know how to turn a wrench and am reasonably handy around the house. Since when did plumbers start making upwards of $1000/hour? I havenâ t needed a plumber in a while but I have a difficult time believing this is the current going rate. I needed the work to be done and to be fair, no one twisted my arm. He did present me with the price before hand and I agreed to pay that so I have no one to blame but myself although I had no idea it would take less than an hour to complete the work. It wasnâ t until after he left and I started to think about it that I began to get upset. This was not difficult work. For the work that was done, a fair price in my mind should have been in the $300 to $500 range for an hourâ s work. That is also in line with what I learned is the average hourly rate charged by most plumbers. So, thatâ s why Iâ m not recommending Harts Services and only giving them a 4 Star rating. It would be even less because of the price but , as I said, I have no one to blame but myself. I was under no obligation to accept that price but, at this point after the fact, I canâ t help feel like this was far more expensive than it should rightfully have been. The next time I need minor plumbing work doneâ ¦Iâ ll be more thoughtful. I'll do the necessary research and ask the question: do you charge by the hour or by the part/job? Or if possible, I'll just do it myself if I canâ ¦before calling on the services of a $1000/hour plumber! Charging by the part or by the individual job, especially when the individual jobs are minor, as in my case, may enrich the company but it's not fair to and very bad for the customer. Harts Services needs to adopt a per hour pricing strategy instead of a per part/job strategy. Until they do that, I will not recommend them or use them again. Live and learn."
