"I was assured repeatedly that this job would take only 2 weeks at the most and would be done by August 15th. I signed the contract agreement on Wednesday, July 30 and returned it with credit card down payment of $2640. He assured me the job could be completed by the beginning of the week of August 10 and promised to deliver supplies over the weekend. He then contacted me on August 5th asking for payment and signed contract stating he couldn't deliver supplies until he received that. I told him that had been done and returned on the 30th. He then sent the following message: "I should be done with current project next week My next big one starts the 11th I can probably come out end of next week and tear out old fence and set posts and have it done beginning of following week" They did finally show up on Thursday, August 7th and remove the fence panels and move them to the side yard, deliver post, cement and rails. He said he needed to call 811 and have them come to make sure there were no electrical or sewer lines in the places they intended to reset the posts and that he would do that immediately. He said 811 would come measure Monday or Tuesday and promised to return by Wednesday to remove and reset posts. I messaged him on Friday, August 8 to advise the home owner behind me had agreed to split the price of replacing the fencing between our homes in addition to the current project and asked if he was interested in doing that and got no response. I had no further communication from him until Wednesday, August 13 when I messaged asking him to verify we are still on schedule to have the job completed by the end of the week. He answered back that he was just returning to town and would message me back. which he did not. I contacted my bank this morning to see if I had any recourse to stop payment and fire him and they advised I contact him again and document results as well as contacting Angi to see if they could escalate this. I called what I believe to be his personal cell phone 570-273-0886 and got a recording that this "is not an answerable number." I then called the company mobile at 425-399-1721 and was able to leave him a message asking him to please contact me to verify he would be out today and tomorrow to complete the job as promised. He did text me and ask if 811 had been out to measure as he had not received an emailed response from them. I replied that he knew they had not. I said that because I am relatively sure he never contacted them. I then asked if they really needed to measure as we were not drilling new holes but simply removing the post and cement from existing holes and refilling the exact same holes. He has not responded. I believe this contractor has taken on more jobs than he has resources and employees to handle in order to keep his calendar full and money coming in. I did see a negative review on Angi with the homeowner stating pretty much the same issues, but unfortunately didn't see it before I hired and paid him. "
