"The job went very well and looked better than I imagined. I had a traditional pressure treated deck that was built 25 years ago. Maintenance was a nightmare to the point I stained the deck a solid color. This needed to be freshened up every couple of years. I tired of doing this chore so I contacted several contractors. Those contacted were not very enthusiastic and submitted extremely high bids without explaining exactly what materials they were using or a plan of attack. Brian of Carls Decking came with samples, brochures and a no nonsense explanation of what needed to be done to put me” in my happy place.” Brian inspected the frame and found it to still be level and in good shape. He suggested a total rip off of the planks and replacement of steps deck boards and railings. He even obtained the railing permit and made sure final inspection was handled. After a year, I am re building it myself due to the poor quality of the original lattice wall. Joe came to look at the lattice but never followed through on repair. J&A also installed a new sliding glass door. That was well done, but the screen door does not work properly. Joe came to look at the problem, but never fixed it. His follow through is problematic, if something goes wrong.."
