"My wife and I hired All Star Contractors to convert an attached garage into living space (about 250 sq ft) and we had an outstanding experience with them. Bill managed every step of the process (design, permitting, build) honestly and fairly, with excellent communication and reasonable pricing. The end result is exactly what we had hoped for. We first reached out to the company with a general idea of what we wanted to accomplish, and our budget. Bill understood what we wanted, and made many useful suggestions to help us create a room that was both aesthetically pleasing and practical, within the budget. The building process lasted about five weeks, with daily work done entirely by two members of Bill’s team (Derek and Mike), with Bill checking in daily to monitor progress. Having the same three people in our house allowed for excellent communication, and it was obvious how dedicated they were to their craft.  We found this place called Trust Builders, LLC, on Angie's List  (Of Course), and James (people call him Jim) had answered the phone. I called him up on the phone letting him know what the situation was, and how bad it was. Jim did a perfect job with everything that he did here. First of all, this is a very hard working man. I have never seen anyone take out LARGE portions of walls apart, so meticulously, so perfectly neat and with precision skill. The wall sections that were damaged were removed and discarded. Jim gets right down there in the wall, and takes out ALL of the dangerous BLACK MOLD by removing that harmful horror that we lived with for so many years. He was working so vigorously and managed to vacuum out everything that was such a difficult and tedious job.
Jim worked for many hours on his first day at the house, RE-building the beams that rotted out on the first wall that needed work. Everything to perfection. The next and last visit to work here, was just as industrious and he just works his heart out. This guy worked so hard, we felt that he was really true to his word. He gave us a written estimate of EXACTLY what work needed to be done, and to the mark, we paid that exact price. In fact, the verbal price we were quoted at the beginning was higher than what we actually paid, due to the fact that the second wall was not as rotted as the first, and required less work. Jim told us that himself, he didn't mince words or take extra because it didn't require as much work as the first wall. Very Honest, Jim let us know right away, there would be a REDUCTION in our estimate.

I'll tell you something, this guy puts hard work, sweat and strength into his work. Jim KNOWS this business. He acts like a  PROFESSIONAL throughout, he was prompt, and got started almost immediately. He even ran out to get the materials after he was here, showed us receipts for all he purchased, and even left us the extra materials!   I would ABSOLUTELY hire Jim again on the spot. All I can say is, a job like this takes a lot of precision. If a contractor doesn't do the work correctly, harsh chemical black rot irritants could become airborne. He was very careful and we got kicked out of the room to the upstairs (nicely) for our safety. He cleaned every bit of the areas that were worked on, that the area didn't even seem like anyone worked there. Only that it looked so much better. Great Job. If you know anything about carpentry, if it isn't done right, it becomes a real big problem.  The price that we received for all of this work was unbelievably reasonable. VERY REASONABLE FOR ALL OF THE WORK THAT WAS REQUIRED OF THIS JOB. Friendly, Professional, Business - Like, and knows the business. Is there ANY reason to use anyone else? I recommend Jim for this type of work. You wouldn't believe all of the other beautiful woodwork he does. I've seen it in pictures.  Everything as promised here both in work detail and in price.  WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY? AT THE END OF THE DAY, WE WERE EXTREMELY PLEASED. Hire again?  ANYTIME!  YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT  : )
