"I almost never write a review (good or bad), but this one is well deserved. Design/Estimate/Order -- HM Cabinets was the first store I went to for my kitchen cabinets design and estimate. After that I shopped around for couple months and got designs/estimates from many other retailers. Decided to go ahead with HM Cabinets for 2 reasons - (1) Tamaz was quick in understanding the needs and made the designing process easy and thorough. I felt he was honest and had my best interest in mind. (2) Their quote was competitive and in fact slightly lower than others. Delivery/Post installation -- Fabuwood cabinet delivery came spot-on on the date agreed. More importantly, I was particularly impressed with the post installation support I got from HM Cabinets. Few cabinet doors were delivered scratched/broken. Tamaz created numerous RMAs with Fabuwood and replacements were shipped in no time. Overall, very happy with the services. Highly recommend."

Got several quotes from a few highly rated contractors to work on a bathroom remodeling, and Homemaster came out with a reasonable and detailed quote breaking down each part of the job. The many great reviews from other clients made the decision to hire Carlos a no-brainer. Once the job started, Carlos and Felix arrived on time every day and the work was done well and with care to detail. Carlos also gave suggestions on what would look nice during the job. I purchased a toilet which from reviews online was a tough install that often took an hour+ to install, but Carlos and Felix with a little help from myself installed it in 15 minutes. "When Frank delivered my cabinet doors and drawers all I could say was "WOW". They came out amazing. My thirty year old cabinets look brand new! I keep getting raves from family and friends who have stopped by. Frank was easy to work with. Arrived on time for our first appointment, went over everything with me and answered my questions. He answered the phone whenever I called him, and responded to emails promptly. I never felt ignored or forgotten. I would definitely not hesitate to use The Refinishing Company again."

"Ty Salazar is a nice guy, very knowledgeable, and a great kitchen designer. The work that eventually got done was of high quality, and his people were very responsive to our requests. The problem was in the scheduling and timing. Essentially, Ty seemed to lose touch with the project about halfway through, and that's where it all went south. We had timed everything so that the work would get done over the summer and we'd have a functional (if not 100% complete) kitchen by Labor Day, after which the kids would be back in school and we needed a working kitchen. I asked about this repeatedly and was repeatedly told that this would happen. I pushed hard to get all of the materials and appliances ordered so that they would be delivered on time. Well, we went away for 2 weeks before Labor Day, and when we got back, the work was nowhere near complete -- yet I was invoiced for the completion of the project. Several times I asked for a project schedule, not once was I given one. I gather that part of the problem was that we had to have permits for plumbing and electrical work and the "prima donna" behavior of the licensed plumber and electrician, who didn't show up when they were supposed to, left jobs uncompleted, etc. At any rate, we didn't have a working kitchen until late September, and the finishing cosmetic work took another few weeks to finish up. The final piece of the puzzle, a shelf that had to be custom made for a corner base cabinet, wasn't ready until January, and I got so tired of waiting for it to be delivered that I went out to Forest Hills myself to pick it up. No question about it, we love the new kitchen. But I was really not happy with the timeliness or the lack of communication over the scheduling."
