"<p>Bravo Rain Hunters! Ricardo was the consummate professional throughout all phases of my new sprinkler system. He helped to configure the system to fit within my limited budget. He closely monitored the quality of work performed by his employees and inspected the finished product. The work was completed very quickly, as promised. Ricardo was there to test the system, make sure the sprinkler heads, rain sensor, and timer settings were calibrated for maximum efficiency. His work is guaranteed with another check on the system scheduled for next week. And, he will come each year to replace the battery in the timer along with inspections of the system. </p> <p>Ricardo was very thorough in his communications with me, took the initiative to call me several times throughout the proposal-installation-and, completion phases; I was always well-informed.</p> <p>Even though I did not use Rain Hunters for the actual landscaping, Ricardo shared some excellent landscaping ideas. He demonstrated that he is quite the "artist," as is evidenced in the photos of his work on his website, and he is very knowledgeable about what types of plants and flowers would work in shaded areas and areas that receive more sunlight.</p> <p>I highly recommend Rain Hunters and will definitely call on them again for other jobs in the future.</p> <br />"

"My renters were the ones that gave me the assessment. I will <br /> just give a synopsis since it has been some time and I wasn't there. <br /> The son arrived and removed the toilet revealing what was causing all the <br /> backup - paper roll spring. He was asked to change the shower faucet, which he <br /> did try to help us out by telling us to call Moen for the replacement <br /> cartridge. Moen didn't warranty the faucet and he offered to supply the part we <br /> needed but he didn't have it readily available. Instead, I told the renters to <br /> go out and buy the faucet they wanted in the kitchen and shower and have Toney?s <br /> Plumbing install them and to remove the R.O system since they were already <br /> there. All this was done but the son complained the whole time, would leave and <br /> return yet not finish prolonging the repair. They felt the son was agitated because <br /> we were not buying the parts from them. Again every time he went back the son complained. <br /> In the middle of the repairs I did call the dad who I <br /> believe is R.V. and told him what was going on and he assured me he would have <br /> a talk with his son not just on the attitude but also the repair. The <br /> complaints continued. <br /> In all fairness since I didn?t witness this first hand I don?t <br /> know the circumstances surrounding the repair visits, but I do know that since <br /> I live 200 miles away it did bother me to hear this. From the renters stand <br /> point there wasn?t any complaining about the work done for the most part my renters <br /> were satisfied except for the mess that was left behind when they had to cut <br /> out hole in the wall to install the valve in the shower. No taping of floating <br /> was done to the wall but then when I had work done to my house the plumber?s <br /> told me they would not repair the hole they had to cut out so I guess it?s an <br /> industry thing, although they didn?t leave a mess. <br /> I had chosen Toney?s Plumbing because of Angie?s list reviews <br /> and I didn?t want to go with the largest plumbing company, I wanted to <br /> establish a relationship with a business (I have three houses in their area and <br /> buying more) that I could just call up and be confident the work would be done <br /> (which I have with other businesses), which I have no doubt Toney?s could have <br /> done but not when they whine about doing plumbing work ?hello. <br /> <br /> <br />"

Hello. Are you in the market for installing a new lawn sprinkler system? One that allows you to water your entire lawn and landscaping without having to be moving around a water hose from section to section hoping you water everything evenly. \n\nI can help! With over 15 years of experience in the field and being licensed by the State of Texas for over 11 years, I can install a new, efficient, and complete sprinkler system in your lawn and landscape areas; which will eliminate the painstaking task of watering your lawn manually and inefficiently. \n\nWhether you are building a new home or would like to upgrade your existing home with a new system it is important to choose the right company to do the work. \n\nDon't get stuck with a contractor that will hire unlicensed individuals that charge the least only to pay the contractor a premium for his finder’s fee and end up with cheap quality, poorly designed sprinkler system. Also, why pay hundreds of dollars extra for using a contractor when you can just buy direct, skip the hassle and headaches and eliminate the middle man. \n\nIn the beginning, I acquired a lot of experience from correcting poorly designed and inefficient sprinkler systems from unlicensed individuals that didn’t really know what they were doing. Being trained and licensed by professionals in the field for dozens of years will supersede any individual working without a license. Also, hiring the right person makes a huge difference even with all the right credentials. I am the type of person that only does the job the way it is intended to be done. I’d rather have a smaller profit margin and do everything once and correct than to have a job done poorly with cheap materials, and have to go back to correct issues multiple times. \n\nBelieve it or not, but there is an actual science as to how a sprinkler system works. From the design, available water pressure, volume of water available by a given sized water meter, and correct watering schedule all are important, intricate parts of a well put together, efficient sprinkler system. \nDon't be deceived by individuals offering sprinkler systems or backflow testing services without a valid license. Always make sure that the person coming to your home is in the (TCEQ) Texas Commission on Environmental Quality's licensing database. \n\nI mentioned backflow testing services, which a lot of people are not familiar with, which is completely understandable because it is not something many people know about. Most of these fly by night installers don’t have a clue of why these devices exist and have no way of being able to explain to you the importance of having this device. \n\nWhen a new sprinkler system is installed anywhere in the State of Texas, it is required by law that you install a backflow prevention assembly. This device is essentially the most important part of your system and the reason why there is an inspection on your property when obtaining a permit to do such work. This device is intended to prevent backflow contamination from your sprinkler system to your personal drinking water, as well as the water to your neighbors, and to the rest of the city. \n\nEssentially, the backflow preventer is a one way valve, once the water passes through it, it does not allow the water to go back to the source. This prevents any fertilizers, herbicides, and any other chemicals that may be in your lawn to infiltrate into your sprinkler system water lines and get back into the city drinking water system. This device prevents you and your neighbors from getting sick or even dying from your potentially contaminated sprinkler system. Yes, it is that serious. \n\nAlso, these backflow preventers need to be tested upon installation and annually. Reason for that is that these devices like any other devices do not last forever; they do break down with time, or just need to be cleaned and/or adjusted from time to time. And guess what, I am a licensed backflow preventions assembly tester, going on 8 years licensed with over 10+ years of total experience installing and working with these devices. \n\nThe TCEQ is the licensing agency for the State of Texas that regulates the occupational licenses individuals hold in order to design, sell, repair, and install sprinkler systems as well as testing backflow prevention assembly devices. \n\nIt is actually against the law to install and/or even repair a sprinkler system without a license. \nBelow is a link to the TCEQ's homepage to verify the current status of an individual's occupational license/s. This link allows you to validate an individual's license/s with the State of Texas. \n\nClick on the link below, type in the 9 digit license number in the License Number box (example shown in parenthesis below are my official state license numbers). Simply copy & paste, then hit the search tab to view the individual's license information. \n\nhttp://www2.tceq.texas.gov/lic_dpa/index.cfm?fuseaction=licall.searchliol\n\nLicensed Irrigator # (LI0011902)\n\nBackflow Prevention Assembly Tester # (BP0010991) \n\nOnce you have entered on to the individual's license information page, you can view the status of their license/s. If you scroll down on that page you can see all the training an individual has obtaining in regards to their license, including when licensure was first granted and all the courses an individual has taken to maintain the license/s. \n\nIf you enter my licenses number into that data base you will see my license information along with my personal information which includes my phone number below which I've had since cell phones were invented and my home address in which I have lived for over twenty plus years. I have no reason to hide. I am not like these individuals that once they have taken your money you have no recourse and/or any way of getting a hold of them. \n\nBy law, anyone advertising to design, sell, install, and repair a sprinkler system must provide their license number/s within that ad. Notice how the majority of individuals advertising to do sprinkler work do not include a license number. Only individuals with a valid license are aware of this bylaw. \nDon't be fooled by these fly by night individuals claiming to have vast amounts of experience. If they don't have a valid license then they don't have the right kind of experience. \n\nI realize that installing a sprinkler system onto your property can be a major project, as well as a costly one, which can make for a stressful experience if not done right. Please don't get caught up with an individual that gives you a ridiculously low price to do such a big project. Chances are they are not licensed, not insured, not properly experienced, and most likely willing to cut corners at every possible chance. \n\nUnlicensed individuals have the luxury of charging way less than individuals that are licensed because they don’t have the required insurances as needed, they don’t obtain a permit for the work to be done, they don’t install the required backflow preventer as required by the state, and they use cheap materials and components, and cut corners at every opportunity just to make a buck, all which saves them money and leaves you with a poorly, inefficiently constructed sprinkler system. \nWhenever we do a sprinkler project, no matter how big or small we always use the highest quality materials and components. \n\nThe electronic controller we use is always user friendly and easy to navigate. Sprinkler heads used are the best available, drip line used is of the highest quality, backflow device used is freeze resistant and lead free. We also install a rain sensor with every system to prevent your sprinkler system from turning on whenever we get rain, saving you on your water bill from unnecessary watering. We do not cut corners when it comes to ordering materials. \n\nAll our sprinkler systems come with a two year warranty on parts and labor. Electronic controller comes with a five year warranty which must be registered with the manufacturer directly. Backflow preventer comes with a three year warranty. Please note that all backflow preventers must be tested upon installation and annually thereafter. \n\nI seriously doubt that any of these unlicensed fly by night individuals can offer any of these features. We take pride in the work we do. Our warranties are higher because we are confident in the quality of workmanship that we do. Most of the times after an installation we do not hear back from our customers, because our systems are done right the first time and built to last. \n\nIn the event that a warranty call needs to be made, we are always available. And there are no charges, unless someone accidentally damages the system. In that event we are reasonable and helpful in getting you back to working order. \n\nWhen it comes to pricing, there are various things that come into play when giving a total price for a complete sprinkler system. Typically, we charge $400 for each pop up spray valve installed, $600 for each rotary valve installed, and $800 for each drip valve installed, with a minimum of 4 total valves to be used on a given property. \n\nNow, each pop up spray valve usually consists of 8-12 pop up sprinkler heads, this varies because of the amount of water pressure and water volume available from your water supply. It also varies on the area being irrigated. An open area will limit you to less heads because they can be spread out more covering more area but using up more of the available volume and pressure. An oddly shaped area can require more sprinkler heads to water the complete area, allowing us to put more heads on a given valve. We will always maximize the amount of spray heads used on any given valve. \n\nRotary valves consist of 4-6 pop up rotary sprinkler heads. These types of sprinkler head are used in big open areas and cover twice as much area than the regular pop up spray heads. They also use up twice as much water volume and water pressure than the regular pop up spray heads. These valves are typically used in big back yards that cover a lot of area. \n\nA drip valve consists of roughly 800 linear feet of drip line with either 12” or 18” drip emitters, depending on the application. This also varies on your available water pressure and water volume. Most cities require the first 10 from the street into your property line to be irrigated by drip irrigation to avoid water waste. \n\nPlease note that there is a minimum amount of valves required for such pricing, which is a combination of 4 valves of any of the 3 valve types listed above. Reason for that is because installing only one valve would not cover the insurance requirements, permit, backflow valve, backflow testing, electronic controller, wiring, rain sensor, materials and labor to construct one valve, even at two valves we would not break even. \n\nOther things that can add to your total price are the location of your project. Naturally, the further away you are the more costly it would be, but typically these prices pertain to Hidalgo County. \nAnother thing that can add to the project would be sleeves (running pipe under the concrete). If your project is new and in the construction phase it is highly recommended to place sleeve underneath the driveways and sidewalks before throwing concrete. It is very labor intensive and time consuming to do it after the sidewalks and driveways have been installed. It is also important to have the company installing your irrigation system to install the sleeves. That way the right sizes and the right amount of sleeves are used. Lastly, any kind of obstructions like a block fence with a footing can add to a project just like sleeves. \n\nBackflow testing services prices start at $40 for each backflow device you need tested. Your typical home can have one or two backflow valves. Normally you would have one for a sprinkler system and one for an in ground swimming pool. In some cases there is only one valve for both the sprinkler system and swimming pool. Business can have multiple devices, just depending on the business type and applications. Please inquire if you have any questions. \n\nHow to pay for the sprinkler system? We offer the ability to pay with a credit card using Square. In which fees are paid by us to provide you with the convenience of using that method. Cash method comes with a direct discount and checks and/or paypal as well are welcomed. \n\nSecond, once a contract has been made and work has been scheduled to commence. We do not require any money down to start. Now, Can you say that about any of these fly by night unlicensed individuals?? Probably not! \n\nPayments schedule is broken up into 3 parts.\n\nFirst payment would be half of the total project. Remember, by this point we have already spent hours working on a plan, paid for the permit, paid for rental equipment such as a trencher, if applicable, as well as ordered and paid for 85% of all materials, not to mention payroll for the first day. First payment would be due by the end of the day on the day we begin. \n\nSecond payment would be 40% of the remaining 50% which by that point the system should be nearing its completion, usually by the end of the second day. \n\nLast 10% are due once the project has been totally completed and the homeowner has had the chance of testing the entire system, along with a tutorial of how the systems works, programming, and education on the backflow device, etc. Typically by the 3rd day. \n\nMost full sprinkler system projects last about 3 days. \n\nI know by now you must be thinking, what a long ad. I simply prefer to put out there as much about our company as possible. So that you have as much information to help you determine the type of company that we are, and to help ease your mind, that not all companies out there are here to steal your money. \n\nPlease, serious inquires only. Call today to set up an appointment. Fast, friendly, and reliable Service, All work is guaranteed. Appointments are usually available from one day to the next. Monday thru Friday only. \n\nPlease Call or Text me at (956) 624-9031. If I am unable to answer please do not hesitate to call back, leave a message, or send a text. Thanks for reading. -Daniel \n\n*Backflow testing, repairs, replacements, and installations are also available. \n**Grass installation and landscaping also available with irrigation projects.\n\n***Please note that this advertisement is only for new sprinkler systems, we do not work on old sprinkler systems nor do any repairs to existing sprinkler systems. We do however repair and/or replace old backflow preventers. \n\nSorry for the inconvenience.
