It would have been very expensive to tear down and replace and Chris suggested several brick colors, dropped them over for us to consider, and drew some pictures of replacement chimney to match mid century house and neighborhood. He also reused old cap material on new chimney and was able to use material to repair rear brick chimney cap."

"RCS Fires Solutions (Auburn, WA) is the BEST!!! When I moved into my new home and needed standard yearly service on my gas fireplace, I contacted a different local company, and my experience was HORRIBLE! The guy that showed up was rude, made a mess in my house, and then after a few minutes of tinkering around claimed my fireplace insert needed to be replaced, which he said would cost thousands of dollars. I was sure that he was lying, given that my fireplace had always worked fine before he showed up. It was clear that he just thought I was a sucker. I then found RCS online and contacted them. Rusty answered the phone and was so helpful. Right away, I knew that I could trust him. He listened to me rant, and set up an appointment for the next day. Ryan showed up, and WOW! What a difference. He was polite, friendly, and respectful of my home. He took off his shoes, put down a tarp, and went to work. He did an amazing job cleaning my fireplace, and even went above and beyond by spray-painting the interior for me to make it look better. It literally looked like a new fireplace after he was done. The folks at RCS are not only knowledgeable and professional, but they are also honest, friendly, and very reasonably priced. "I had many options and colors to pick from for my new roof and one that fit my budget. The crew arrived early and got busy, the job was done very professionally. All of the debris was placed in a bin and removed at the end of the job. The cleanup was if they had not been here. The price was very fair, I got several estimates and their bid was not the lowest or the highest. I am very pleased with the outcome and have a 30-year warranty that is transferable should I at some point decide to sell my home. I have had no problems with the new roof of any kind but know if I did I could count on Chet's Roofing to be there for me. Great Company and great customer service."

"<p> My house is 18 years old, built in 1995, and had a roof of thin cedar shingles.  There was skip-sheathing under them but no plywood.  </p> <p></p> <p>Eric's crew showed up on time, removed the old roofing materials, installed new plywood and composition shingles.  They protected the flowerbeds and landscaping and cleaned up after the job was finished.  The time estimated for this project was 3-4 days, but they finished before noon the second day.  </p> <p>Eric was present during most of the project and he and his crew were very pleasant.  </p> <p></p> <p>We were so pleased with his work that we have hired him to paint the house.  Will write a review when that job is finished. </p> <br />"

"Tommy is a very polite, professional and trustworthy man to be around the outside of the home. That's very important. He always let me know when he was starting to work outside, kept us informed as to what he was working on and ultimately caught the possums under the house, fixed the problem and now the house is quiet. <br>"

"They arrived on the date promised. This was probably more difficult than most jobs they do since it was inside the wall, but it was still completed in the same day along with a second job, installing a new exhaust duct for our hot water heater. We were very pleased with how well they kept the dust down. This is very dirty work, don't be deceived, but they tried to keep it down as much as possible. They helped with moving some furniture, laid down drop cloths, put up plastic to seal off the living room where they were working and cleaned up afterwards. Best price we found for doing this job. I can't speak to whether his prices are the lowest, but he doesn't charge a Franklin Mint! Good job, good price, good, hard-working crew. He made sure the job was done to our satisfaction when they completed. (I had to reschedule with him once, Chris was very gracious and accommodating) This is one of the FEW reputable contractors I have dealt with in Washington State. I would not only Absolute Chimney again, but recommend to anyone needing this kind of work done. Highly recommended!"

"I did not find this company on Angie's list. I heard Randy hammering (YES, old school hammer) on my neighbor's house. I never heard an air compressor or nail gun. They were working at a good speed and seemed very clean and efficient. Walked over and asked him why he was hand nailing. He gave me the right answer (didn't want to damage the structural integrity of the shingles by over penetration). His quote was also significantly LOWER than 3 other larger firms. <br /> Although he doesn't advertise, he was booked solid and I had to wait a couple months. When he did come out, Randy and his brother were fast and efficient. Special orders for gutter were managed with no fuss. He even returned one day to spray paint the furnace chimney to reduce it's visual presence. Paint may also help with future corrosion (don't know). <br /> I called after the job was over because I forgot to ask him to install safety anchors on the ridge line. He came out the next time he was in the area and installed the anchors for a very reasonable price. His recommendation on gutter caps to keep maple leaves and cedar out of my gutters was sound and logical. It saved me thousands. I bought about 8 feet of each type of gutter cap and tested them over 3 months. The most expensive caps clogged up and were the most difficult to install. Bought the cheap plastic mesh ones from Home Depot and they are working as advertised. Thanks Randy!! <br /> In all, Mr Bicknell re-roofed 3 houses in our cul-de-sac and is being hired by at least one of my co-workers. Word of mouth works well for this company!! <br />"

"Have been using Rainier to maintain my shake roof for the past 15 years. The way I think of it, I am gradually replacing the roof by replacing loose and worn shakes and treating the old ones with an oil based stain. All my neighbors have replaced their roofs at a cost of $15 - $20 thousand. Anthony comes to replace shakes and pressure washes every other year and treats with oil every four years. The cost has been averaging $1,200 but $2,400 when treated with oil. I have been pleased and my roof looks new."
