One company wanted to jack hammer the entire basement floor and excavate the around the house. Needless and expensive. Ken Bird, owner of CMI Comprehensive Mold Mgmt Inc., however, was professional, explained what needed to be done, provided a fair quote and offered financing information if I was interested. This was the only company who recommended a NY State Licensed 3rd party certification, and guaranteed the work for life. I have already recommended this company to a friend with similar basement issues. The Project Manager onsite was Mike, who was professional, courteous and explained the daily progress during the week they were here. The project included: mold removal and remediation, basement waterproofing (walls), new glass block windows and sump pump well replacement. Overall - five stars !"

"My tenant contacted me with concerns about mold on the ceiling and windows of their bathroom. This stemmed from a leak in the roof a few months earlier. I contacted Mike and he scheduled to take a look within that same week. He examined the bathroom, the other rooms in the house and the attic. He said that his product would eliminate the mold without having to rip up all the sheet rock, etc. We scheduled a time for him to come back to spray the product and he arrived as promised. It only took him a short time to spray the house and I was surprised how much the mold disappeared that same day. We scheduled a second visit just to make sure the product hit all the mold spores and it seemed to kill all the mold without having to replace the ceilings and walls. Also, he has a guarantee that if I see mold re-surfaced at all they will come and re-mediate. "They checked the attic (crawl space) and said it looked ok.  They could not tell me what the plaster bubbles were and said they would research, I never heard back.  They checked the basement and said the mold looked normal.  I paid $125.00 for someone to walk around my house and tell me it looked ok.  I was surprised that when I asked if they could take a mold test that the gentleman told me he didn't have the equipment with him and would have to come back and that it would be an extra $250.00.  The whole point of them coming out was to check for mold.  I was surprised that they didn't have what they needed to really check for mold when that's what they came out for and that it cost so much extra for the test.  I'm sure they have to pay for the lab but I think they should have had something with them to test for mold.  They were nice people but I don't know what I paid for other than a consultation. <br />"
