"The team did an excellent job from estimate to completion of the work. Others I had out to estimate the repair indicated I'd need to have the bedroom ceiling entirely redone. Laurie indicated their team specializes in repairs/matching textures in older homes, and said they could do the work without a total ceiling redo. They quickly provided a bid, and gave me a timeframe that was about 4-5 weeks out, saying they'd be in touch as we were close to the top of their list. Laurie had a reschedule, and asked if I would like to get on the schedule in just about 2-3 weeks from when I received the estimate. I agreed, and they were able to get the job done for the cost they had estimated. I appreciate greatly that they did what they could to keep my costs down, including using paint I already had on hand to match the sections they repaired. In addition, they ended up matching my ceiling texture so well, they didn't even have to repaint the ceiling. The damage in the bathroom ended up being a little more complicated then we first thought, so they used the extra time that freed up to further work on the bathroom and it looks great! Working with the ladies was refreshing, after having been talked down to by a number of other contractors. They provided honest, straight-forward explanation of what needed to be done, what it would cost, and got the job done professionally and quickly. I'd hire them again and recommend them to friends and family. Note: we also happen to have dogs and were dogsitting a third dog when the opening came up. The dogs were barky with new people in the house, but the team was very kind and patient with them and me while we settled them down both days the work was being done. Their kindness and ability to roll with the slight delay this caused to ensure we didn't have all day barking was fantastic. A+, Highly Recommend!!!"

"CHI did an exceptional job replacing windows and a storm door. The cluster of 7 windows is in a brick-cladded wall, with curved oak trim on the interior. The result is beautiful--the new trim matches perfectly. What most impressed us was how careful and thorough everyone was. The crew worked together to come up with the best way to handle problems. For example, the storm door hardware didn't fit right, so they came back an extra morning to modify the wood framing. Overall, they did what was needed to get a good result."

"We went back and forth before we could settle on a date and when rain was forecast they were kind enough to reschedule to a later date. Three young men arrived and they could not have been more professional and courteous. I have a number of stained glass windows hanging over windows and they took each of them down to wash the underlying window and rehung them. I also have storm doors within my sliding glass doors and they'd were thoroughly cleaned. They took their shoes off in the house, worked quickly and efficiently and my windows sparkle. He asked someone else to help with an emergency repair when he was unavailable. He provides expert advice as well, such as properly weatherproofing doors. "Pat Martin is the owner/operator of this business. We have used him for several years now, replacing a much more expensive firm that used employees to do the work. No surprise that minimum wage laborers do not have the same degreeof commitment to quality as an owner/operator. So, wwhen you hire Martin Bros., you get Pat on the job. We have been delighted each and every time that we have used him. He cleaned our windows a couple of weeks ago, and, after that, he did my son's house and this week my daughter's.  <br /> My daughter's windows were installed last year and still had sticky residue from the manufacturing process. So, Pat had to take more time with his blade and Goo-Gone to remove the gunk before doing the actual cleaning. Now the windows are crystal clear and a joy to look out of. <br /> Another point worth noting: Pat is a very fine and honest person and family man. We do not hesitate for a moment in giving him the run of our house, even if we are away. That makes it much easier to use Pat than, say, a contractor with hourly wage workers whom we do not and really cannot know. <br /> To top it all off, Pat is a real bargain. I often have to tell him that he has not charged us enough!! <br />"
