Small jobs welcome

"Dave was great to work with. Even though my project was on the smaller side I still felt like it was just as important as other bigger projects Dave does. Dave thinks about all aspects of the job. From the rough-in to how the paint will look come finish. His price was good and he’s very accommodating. I’ll definitely give Dave a call for future work."

"The team was very professional and the work was done within a reasonable time frame. I was notified when any hiccups in the schedule happened and was informed on every design decision and asked for approval. Amazing work around a bizzare unfinished basement layout."

"Reetz Construction did a great job! My new deck looks amazing! From start to finish, Ethan Reetz was fair, honest, respectful, and fast. He obtained the permit and finished our 15x15 deck in 5 days. We couldn't be happier! This young man is the best around to do a deck or job for you! "

"We hired Enerjac to build an addition and kitchen remodel in October, 2024, and are still waiting for project completion in November, 2025. Far from having a "tradition of excellence," we found Enerjac to be deceitful, manipulative, and incompetent, with problems ranging from failure to contain lead dust to leaving holes in the exterior wall wide enough for a man to fit through in mid-winter. Communication was terrible, and our emails since mid-October, 2025, have gone unanswered, despite lingering issues like a non-functioning radiator and a cracked conrete stoop, both of which they installed. The project was plagued by delays and excuses. The structure was not built to the plan or specifications, for which we requested (and were denied) compensation. I would not recommend this company and do not plan to use their services again."

FAQs for addition to existing structure building service projects in Stacy, MN

You can typically raise your roof by four to eight feet, depending on your home's structure and roof design. The exact amount depends on factors like roof slope and framing support. Raising the roof creates additional interior space, enhances natural light, and increases your home's value. Consult a professional to determine the feasible height increase for your home.

Yes, you need a building permit to raise your roof. Obtaining a building permit ensures your project complies with local building codes and safety regulations. A professional contractor can assist with the permit and inspection process and ensure all legal and safety requirements are met. Your contractor will be familiar with building codes in your area, which can differ between cities or states.

While it's possible to raise a flat roof, it requires extensive structural modifications. Flat roofs lack the attic space and support structures of pitched roofs, so raising them involves significant engineering to ensure safety and durability. This process can be complex and costly, so professional assessment is essential before undertaking a project of this magnitude.
