"I am very satisfied with all aspects of the work and services provided by Woodbridge Carpet Supply and would highly recommend the company. Walter took time to meet with my husband and me to disucss and understand our needs. He arranged every detail of our install. The process was seamless. Scheduling was easy and we arranged to have the install on 9/25. The price was very reasonable. We had carpet installed in our entire 3 level townhouse, including all the stairs. The carpet installers (Santos, Trinny, Kelvin) were very professional and arrived on time. Our appointment started at 9am and they were completely finished by 2:30pm on the same day! The carpet looks and feels wonderful! My family and I are very pleased with the quality of the work and the quality of the carpet. The installers were respectful and cleaned up after themselves when the work was done. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and I would use them again in the future."

"We have been very pleased with everything involved in having our rugs cleaned and repaired by Main Street Oriental Rugs.  Mojan <br /> Bagha was very knowledgeable about his craft, and was very pleasant to deal with.  He seems to care a great deal about the rugs he deals with, and took personal affront that a hand-crafted Persian runner had been crudely cut in half by a relative years ago.  We were advised that two other runners were machine-made and not worth the cleaning fee.  Our rugs were restored to colors we did not know that they had, and they look beautiful.  Ratty looking fringe was made to look much better even though we decided that we could not afford to have them appropriately repaired.  The pick-up and delivery were exactly as he had said, and each time he carefully re-positioned the room furniture.   The price was well worth it.  The office was easy to communicate with, and we highly recommend them. <br />"

"I requested multiple bids. DNA Pro responded immediately, before any other vendor. Some never responded at all. The carpet was dirty from years of being walked on. When the stained spots become too apparent, I have the carpet cleaned. DNA Pro totally removed the dingy spot in front of the sofa, which sees high usage. No other cleaner has ever completely removed it."

"Installation date occurred as promised, was efficiently done and looked good.  In the 3 weeks between ordering and installation, I was shopping in a lot of ''big box' stores and think I may have gotten a better deal and higher quality carpet at Lowe's or Home Depot.  His price seemed a bit high ($1247 for 2 bedrooms). <br />"

"This was a great experience. Jack's Tile and Carpet was recommended to us by our neighbors, who had hired the company to install hardwood flooring and were very pleased with the result. We were interested in porcelain tile for our kitchen. Krystal and Roseanne were very helpful in the showroom, answering our questions, steering us in the right direction, and responding to emails in a timely fashion. All the workers who came out to our house (Daniel, David, Taylor, Barry, and Larry) were punctual, polite, and cleaned up after themselves. When we ran into a problem, Jack was shortly on the scene and able to get a carpenter involved so that the project timeline remained the same. Throughout the whole process Jack and Robert Hall kept open the lines of communication, quickly responding to our concerns."

"After I visited the store and spoke with an associate, we scheduled a date for measurements very quickly. My carpet was installed a week later and I was 100% satisfied! Would definitely work with CarpetOne again for carpet needs."

"We purchased our carpet from a Big Box Store, which used The Carpet Company for their installation. Now, having heard bad stories regarding carpet installation from the Box Stores, we were nervous at first. The Carpet Company crew showed up on time and did a fabulous job installing our beautiful Mowhawk Smartstrand carpeting. They were clean, professional, and were very thorough on answering any questions we had and were very prompt in their communications to us regarding install times/dates. <br /> We were extremely happy with the result and love our new carpet! <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Stafford, VA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
