"These guys did a great job. Martin was pleasant and kept everything as clean as possible when cutting our stone countertop to fit our larger sink. Could not be happier with the service."

"We hired 2nd Generation Tile & Stone to install our backsplash for our kitchen. Upon arriving, Mike was very professional and knowledgeable. Ideas were shared and he guided us in the right direction to give us the best product. We used his ideas to modify our backsplash to give us exactly what we wanted. The installation was very smooth and organized. Once backsplash was set and grouted, Mike went over and beyond to leave our kitchen cleaner than it was before he started. Not only is Mike a master at his craft, but he is a great guy and very personable. Overall, all of our expectations were succeeded! We would recommend 2nd Generation to all of our friends and family."

"Finished product was very good. The problems with the project were basically related to keeping scheduled appointments and punctuality. The project was scheduled 2-3 months in advance, but the project didn't start or finish on time. There were empty promises."

"We had to replace out existing granite counter top after trying to get the old dishwasher out  to be able to get the new one installed.   After that piece of granite cracked all over, we just decided to get new.  Not that we could afford it.  We got Sunwest's name from AZ Tile. I faxed over measurements to approximately 3 companies, and Matt was the "only company" to respond back to me.  He mentioned he had a slab left over from a previous job (remnant) and wanted us to take a look at it.   We met with Matt on Saturday and although the slab was very nice it didnt really go with what we had in mind.  BUT!  There was another slab that caught our eye.  Matt checked and it was available.   We said "do it" on the spot.
Matt even came over to the house to do the measurements that very day.   A week later it was installed and it looks ...............................................................................................................................................................   F A B U L O U S"

"Stone Creek was very professional.  Everything was cleaned up afterwards. The process of creating and configuring the cabinets was quick and easy. Really enjoyed working with the Sales person.  They showed up as scheduled and communicated throughout the project.

FAQs for stone slab countertops installation (granite, marble, quartz, etc) projects in Stanfield, AZ

Soapstone countertops are durable, environmentally friendly, easy to maintain, non-porous, heat-resistant, and naturally antibacterial. They resist stains and cracks, making them a practical and long-lasting choice. However, soapstone has limited color options and can have visible seams in larger installations. It may also scratch or chip if not handled carefully and tends to have a higher initial cost than other materials. Overall, if you're looking for a functional and aesthetically pleasing countertop, soapstone is a solid choice despite these minor drawbacks.

Soapstone countertops typically come in light to dark gray, often with blue or green undertones. One of the unique features of soapstone is that it deepens in color over time, developing a rich patina that adds to its charm. Each slab is unique, with natural streaks and veining that become more pronounced as the countertop ages, giving your kitchen or bathroom a dynamic and evolving look.

With proper care, soapstone countertops can last 50 years or more. Regular cleaning with mild detergents and occasional applications of mineral oil to enhance the natural patina will keep your countertops looking beautiful. Thanks to its durable nature, soapstone stands up well for daily use, making it a wise long-term investment for your home.

Sealing isn't necessary for soapstone countertops. Soapstone is naturally non-porous and antibacterial, resists stains, and doesn't harbor bacteria. While you don't need to seal it, applying mineral oil occasionally can enhance its natural beauty and help develop a rich patina over time. This simple maintenance keeps your countertop looking its best for years to come.
