"The fellow that did the cleaning was very personable and did an excellent job. The tub surround required a lot of extra work because the tiles had been sealed. Both the bathroom and the kitchen floors look great. I will hire Pure Clean again and I will recommend them to my friends."

"Long's Floors installed carpet and vinyl approximately 7 years ago. When we had major water damage, the first person I called was Jayson at Long's Floors. We were extremely happy the first time around and just as happy the second time with Long's Floors. Jayson is very professional, knows the products, and is helpful making suggestions. The installers are top of the line professionals. The carpet looks beautiful after a perfect install in three bedrooms, hall, and steps. The steps are complicated; the installers had no problem and the job was perfection. The closets turned out just as nice. The vinyl looks great and, again, a perfect professional install. Thank you Jayson and your expert installers that brought our home back to a beautiful home."

"The work was done on time and to budget. The floors have never looked as good as they do now. We left town while the work was done, and when we returned, there was no chemical smell and there was NO DUST. Dan did a fantastic job; we will recommend his company to others, and we will use him again in the future. He even gave us information on which cleaning products to use and which ones to avoid."

"Jeremy and crew are wonderful to work with - our entire family loved having them around. Our highest exterior wall is near 30’ from the ground, but Seattle Paint and Design’s experience and quality were more than up to the challenge. Beautiful masking work on all protected surfaces kept any spray blow back out. Our house is painted with the finest quality paint, no bubbles, cracks, or peeling after 1 year. Their thoroughness with second coats where needed and touch ups provided us with a perfect finish, and our house still looks amazing!"

"They do a good job, until there’s a problem. We had Hardwood Perfections install over 1000 sqft of pre-finished solid hardwood on the main levels of our house, and 500 sqft of laminate in the basement. The initial installation went well, with a few scheduling delays that were understandable because of the holidays. Everything seemed fine until the summer. With the rising temperature, a large portion of the laminate started lifting up off the floor, as much as 1-2 inches in a hallway. After a few calls and texts, they came out to have a look and determined they had installed it too tightly against the wall. With expansion from the summer heat, it presses against the wall and bows up. They promised they would have someone come out to fix it the following week. That was over 2 months ago, and they have not responded to multiple calls, texts, and messages since then. If you work with them, you’re rolling the dice that they get the installation right on the first try. If they do, you’ll have a good experience. If anything goes wrong, they do not stand behind their work. Given the complexity of getting a floor installation right, I recommend avoiding the uncertainty and looking elsewhere."

"I'm so glad we decided to contact 24/7 Flood & Fire the night a plumbing leak caused a major flood in our house. From the minute they picked up the phone, 24/7 Flood & Fire was communicative, responsive, and professional. Obviously, dealing with something like a house flood is stressful beyond belief, but the 24/7 team really helped us gain back some piece of mind. The flood happened when we were out of town, but I was still able to get 24/7 onsite and into our house within 2 hours of leaning about it. From that night through the next week the team took great care through water mitigation/drying to post-flood demolition to make sure our house was in the best shape it could be as we head into the next phase of recovery. Particular shout out to Christian, our project manager, who stayed in constant contact throughout the ordeal. I would recommend this crew in a heartbeat!"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Stanwood, WA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
