Arrived on time and cleaned up afterwards very nicely. So much so that we asked if he would paint the whole sunroom as a second job. We provided the paint, and he came back to paint the walls and trim on the entire room in about a week. He was very meticulous in tapeing the woodwork, and the result was a great paint job, leaving the room much better than it was before! Great job and affordable!"

"Jay O'Connor stopped by the same day we called. We were given a thorough explanation of requirements/ options for the new railings. Jay went over the code regulations as well. We selected a pretty basic aluminum set of railings and my wife talked about a "lambs tongue" accessory (kind of a handle on the entry side of the first upright). We called Jay the following day to accept the proposal he gave us. The install guys came about a week later, at the time promised. They did a very sharp-looking, clean installation and it looks great. My wife was out and returned after the install and asked why no "lambs tongue". I hadn't realized that she had asked for it. The work order didn't refer to the accessory, but she called Jay to inquire and he said right away that it was in his notes but left off of the work order. No argument, no resistance. A guy named Mike came out that afternoon and installed the items no charge. We got not only a good-looking job, but were treated like a customer wants to be treated. Top notch service and product."

"When I called and left a message for Darrell, he returned my call right away. He explained that replacing my shutters would probably take a day, and he could do the job between his other, bigger jobs, calling me the day before he planned to come. That was fine with me - I understood it's not a huge job, I wasn't really in a big hurry, and my schedule is very flexible. He called a few weeks later, saying he's coming the next day at around 8am, and sure enough, he showed up when he said he would! That alone scores points! My husband and I had purchased replacement shutters from Lowe's already, so Darrell's job was just taking down the old ones and putting up the new ones we already had. After a short time, he told us something we hadn't noticed: the first-floor shutters are longer than the second-floor shutters. We just measured the one that was knocked off the second floor, and bought the same size for all the windows. Darrell went to a local building supplier right away and brought back a sample wheel for us to choose from, and we did. Before he committed to the purchase, he figured he'd go to Lowe's and see if they had the same thing we bought, only in the proper, longer size. Well, they did, and he bought them. Lowe's has a great return policy, so we just returned the original ones that didn't fit - no problem! Darrell did a great job and explained how the way he screwed the new shutters in would be sturdier than the original ones. They'll probably last at least another 16 years, probably longer. Darrell was very polite, friendly and respectful. He did all this running around in the morning and still finished the job by about 2pm! His actual labor charge was $350 ... the remaining was the cost of the shutters he purchased for us. We'd hire Darrell again in a heartbeat!"

"<p>Some of the curtain rods that they installed started falling down. We noticed that they didn't use any plastic that goes on the sheet rock. They just drilled screws right into the sheet rock, after a while we had certain ones on certain sides that started to pull out when the curtains went on there. I was disappointed. That's something very small and simple, fortunately the TV brackets were fine. It was a little disappointing. </p>"
