"Section of unfinished basement started getting some water coming in through cinder block wall. Existing narrow drain in place around walls with old sump pit area but no pump every installed by previous owner. Aaron performed estimate and did full assessment of area both inside and out (only contractor to check out the outside of the basement). Proposed using cove plate design, drilling holes in block and installing sump. Plan was if existing piping existed under existing drain area around floor, then this would be the solution. If not he included extra cost for full drain pipe installation. Crew redirected outside down spout underground and away from home most likely contributing to the problem. While breaking up floor they found existing piping so no extras required. Also while working they repaired crack in floor and any gaps in wall mortar. I was not home to supervise work and they could have easily said they installed new pipe without my knowledge. So very honest taking the best and most cost effective solution to problem. They did a great job, finished in 1 day, cleaned up workplace, and very professional. Also guaranteed work for life. Would definitely use them again in the future for any construction type work. "<p>I am selling my 200+ year old house in Mendham Township, NJ and in order to meet the buyer's purchase conditions, it became necessary to repair/replace the roof and mitigate the occasional water seepage in the basement.  I had use Chapelwood previously on another job and knew the quality and speed of their work so I called them first for consultation and cost estimates.  They responded immediately and I quickly had their opinion on the scope and cost of the repair work which I found to be very reasonable and acceptable.</p> <p>Chapelwood excavated a corner of the basement where water leaked in, installed a sump pump basin and sump pump electric unit, a drain in front of the boiler at the lowest spot on the floor and fed it into the sump pump basin and installed a pvc drain pipe from the sump pump through the foundation wall to the outside yard. Outside the house, they redirected two downspouts away from the house. All work was completed in less than 2 days and within just 1 week of signing the Contractor Agreement.  There was a heavy rain since then, but no seepage in the basement...I'm very happy with the results.  </p> <p>I took their advice of fully replacing the 25+ year old roof rather than spot fixes here and there and that job was also done quickly and well.</p> <p>All work was done quickly and professionally by very competent workers and I found dealing with them to be a pleasure.  This was all a "rush" job and Chapelwood was able to work me into their schedule in order to meet the closing date for the sale of the home.  </p> <p>I would absolutely use these guys again.</p>"

"These guys are great! Steve came out to provide a quote which was very fair. He described the process and what I can expect afterwards - a dry basement. The crew came out as scheduled and worked cleanly, diligently, and exactly how Steve described: A trench was dug around the inside perimeter of the basement, filled with rock and a pipe w/holes in it to allow water to be captured, and holes drilled into the cinder block to allow water to exit. 2 sump pumps were installed (1 w/battery back up), and they filled in my existing sump pit (it was not properly placed). The exit/drain pipes were run in the trench and up the wall and exit the house. Everything was cemented over. During the work, Giovanni did an excellent job keeping me apprised of the progress. After the work was done, Giovanni went over the work done with me. This set up is way better than what I had. The 2 pumps are very quiet ... a soft hum when activated. I am very excited to have a dry basement - no humidifier (Giovanni explained one is not needed ... and best not to have being it most likely will pull moisture into the basement). No more mold! I highly recommend having any damp basement issues resolved by United Waterproofing!"

"when tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. I was surprised however that the tech expected me to pay in full before he ordered the part and repaired the problem, but I did using my credit card knowing if there was a issue the credit card co. would have my back, The part was order and Alex fixed it as soon as it came in and was great"
