"John did an A++ job - I had called several other contractors whose estimates were three times higher and the quality of John's work was superior. My homebuilder had installed the front porch stonework over the top of the decking, so it was not an easy job and involved carefully removing the old decking to install the new deck. What I was most impressed by though is that John was focused primarily on what would be most cost effective for me. When he reworked the stairs, he figured out a way to do them so that we could retain the vertical stonework while not costing s fortune. "While the end result was good, the process to get there was a too work on our part. We had damaged exterior trim that we wanted replaced and it took three tries over three weeks to get Phil to come to our house to see the damage. We got so frustrated we had a friend who’s a custom home builder do the work. When the painting got started we had to continually point out errors and misses. The final touch was when they took the leftover paint with them so we have nothing to make touch ups. I will admit that the price was much better than we expected but I would have gladly paid more to have someone do the job right without so much oversight from us."
