"Garage door spring replaced August of last year. Called this morning (Jan. 2018) and woman denied having any record of my prior sale/repair/purchase, said "they do not work for private individuals." Phone connection was incredibly poor, she called back. Service before seemed fine. I suspect the same spring broke, but there's no way I will call this company again for service "they only work for companies" and she kept asking over and over and over again the same questions - my name, address....saying they had no record. (Fine - happy to move on....no need for rude service providers.)"

"Zohar at Best Builders Group came out to our house in order to check and see how and what to change in the existing kitchen. Zohar and his team of people did a wonderful remodeling job from A to Z. We were very impressed and surprised from the high quality of the work and from the professionalism of the workers. During the work, several issues came up during the remodeling project but the team and Zohar handled all of them with no effect to the completion date and with no additional cost. We are looking forward to hire them soon and to remodel all of our bathrooms."

"Tony was great to deal with. He is very kind and knowledgable. His workers are professional, kind, skilled, and trustworthy. Our house had many leaks and cracks, which they patched up well and fixed just before the rain. They painted our house and it looks great! We also had them replace two entry doors. All of this was done right on schedule. The one thing I would look for next time is prepping the job site a little more before beginning so clean-up is easier. However, I addressed this with Tony and they cleaned up well. All said and done, my wife and I are very happy. I vouch for their abilities, and would hire them again. "I recently had a kitchen drain snaked by Top Contender drain specialist Inc. They did a great job. I've hired them numerous times over the years because I own an apartment building, they've done all kinds of work for me. They've done everything from jackhammering the cement to get out a bad pipe, to climbing on the roof to access the vent pipe, all types of repairs, they have consistently been excellent. When they work in apartments that are occupied by tenants I always get a happy response from the tenants because everything gets fixed right and they clean up their work after they're done. I've even hired them to work on my home and my parents home. I have no hesitation in recommending them, recently they showed up on a holiday weekend with a smile and took care of my clogged drain that was affecting three different apartments. Because they were willing to show up at a difficult time it made the weekend nice for everybody and I appreciate that."

"George emailed me two days beforehand to setup a time. I give him a two hour window that worked for him. He came promptly at 8:30 am, Monday morning, 11/28/16, and left at 12:30 pm. He came inside with his toolbox and started right away on assembling my two small tables. They have been sitting in a box for over one year. George also installed some 3 doorknob sets but needed to make adjustments with the door frames so two doors could close properly. He also installed much needed rack on my bedroom door to hang all my dog leashes and harnesses. The window covering hardware in the Master bedroom was changed out also. He took measurements when needed. He was accurate and did not make unnecessary or incorrectly placed holes in the plaster walls for installation. George does excellent work and is efficient. He is professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I would definitely hire him for future services."

"In a word, flawlessly.  Since a roof ranks - in my opinion - among the worst remodeling jobs (typically expensive, not that noticeable), we were NOT enthusiastic when an unexpected leak spurred our decision to replace the roof now rather than postpone until... preferably never.  With that cynical attitude, I reached out to a few Angie's list suppliers for quotes, including Gil at GM Pacific Pro, who was running what seemed like a great special.  To give you a sense of his responsiveness, we had two suppliers come out for quotes on one Friday.  The one in the morning came, measured, and said he'd have a quote tomorrow.  Gil came in the afternoon, measured and said he'd have a quote no later than early the next week.  Gil's quote came the next day, the first supplier's didn't come until early the next week - that one example suggested Gil likes to underpromise and overdeliver.  Since his quote was, all things considered (scope of services, repair costs, timeline, total cost), our best option, we selected GM Pacific Pro.  In our case, we did not negotiate down from his proposal - it seemed a fair price given our other options, and given the importance of him doing a good job and the risk that if he DIDN'T do a good job, we may not notice until the next bad rain storm, I did not want to haggle in an effort to possibly save a few hundred dollars.  In terms of scheduling, he would have been able to start as soon as the next week, but weather postponed the start.  We kept in touch via email and when it looked like the weather would hold, they were ready to go - at 7am, as promised, with a full team.  Even at the start, he suggested it could take 6-7 days (contract allowed for up to 10), because he wasn't sure how much repair would be needed.  As it was, they actually finished in 5 days.  There was one small hiccup with the vent for the water heater getting disconnected, but Gil came out that Saturday morning, reconnected the pipe, then went up on the roof and repaired the sealant for that pipe, which had gotten dislodged when reconnecting the pipe.  Apart from that one item, it was almost like they weren't here.  They got started early each day and were gone - with a very thorough cleanup each day, which was very important because we were concerned about our dogs stepping on nails or other debris - before we got home from work.  We had agreed to split the cost into two milestone payment - $6500 when demo was done and the shingles were on site, and the remainder when the job was done.  While this seemed like a big first payment, there was no downpayment before work began, and I did some math and realized a large portion of the first payment was materials (shingles and lumber), and the materials had to be onsight, so I felt comfortable with that split.  When all was said and done, we are very pleased with our new roof, and with the support and service we got from Gil and his team.  They really seemed to care about doing a good job, and making sure we were satisfied with the outcome.  While I'm still not thrilled that we had to have our roof replaced at all (and I'm hopeful I'll never need to call Gil for another new roof), the folks at GM Pacific Pro made this a much more pleasant, much more efficient, and much lower cost experience than I could have hoped for.  I'm not saying you should not talk to any other suppliers when considering as big a decision as a new roof, but I would highly recommend including GM Pacific Pro on your short list.  They were certainly the right choice for us.
