"First off. he is extremely expensive, $300 just to show up no matter how long it takes. I sawolled hard but we desperately needed help. He's a nice guy and got things fixed temporarily in 45min but realized he needed his tools to hide the wires, and kindly offered to return the next day, for another $300...He previously had told me he is also a handyman and that if I needed anything he could do it. I asked how long it would take to got get his tool and he said he'd come back no charge in a couple of days, he did, but looked lost when he left not being paid again. We realized the port was a problem & we needed a new TV so at his recommendation I bought another TV. I called to ask him how much he would charge to change it over and you guessed it...$300 just to show up. I have owned multiple businesses for over 50 yrs and would never treat anyone like that. Extremely overpriced. He may not remember tools and need a 2nd trip for $300. Also Lost confidence in Angi. Blessings, DrG DrG"

"This project was a breeze. Hunter communicated when he would be onsite and how long it would take. He was punctual and did exactly what he promised. What impressed me most was how he kept me informed about the project and his total professionalism. I am going to use his services again within the next three to four months. I highly recommend him."

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in Summerville, SC

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
