"We had to call on a Sunday evening because water was gushing under our sink. Our integrated supply line had popped loose from the faucet. Within 30 minutes Anthony came out to our house and started checking everything associated with our sink... even our house water pressure. The problem turned out to be our faulty 2 month old Pfister faucet!! I have learned to stay away from this product now! Anyway, he took the faucet out so we could return it to the store and installed a necessary part. Anthony even returned to install our new Delta faucet the next day. Very fast service, were thorough and friendly. Because it had been on a Sunday and in the evening, I expected it to cost much more. I would highly recommend this company to anyone!"

"I contacted Mr. Taylor around 6pm and he agreed to come on the same evening.  <br /> He was courteous and professional and recommend him highly.  <br /> After running the cable, he checked the sink in multiple different ways to make sure it was indeed fixed and working properly.  <br /> He was very clean and made sure to take shoes off when entering the home, and cleaned up after himself.  <br /> Very happy with the service and that the sink was fixed the same day!  <br /> <br />"

"Alex from Sewer Line Video Inspection Company arrived on time to clear our main sewer line, which had been blocked for a few days.  He was professional and worked quickly.  He ran a hydrojet through the sewer main line clean out, but the clean out has too many 90 degree turns.  So, he wasn't able to clean the drain with the large nozzle that he had.  He tried to clear it with a smaller nozzle, but that too was unable to work its way through the clean out.  So, he said that I needed to have a new clean out installed that would go through the ground directly to the sewer main line.  He said that he would need to come back on a later date to dig out and install the new clean out.  Before he left, he wanted to check the soil to see how easy it would be to dig to the main line.  He located the ground directly above the main line and began to dig a shallow hole to test the soil.  A few seconds later, he hit something in the ground, which he identified as a currently existing main line clean out!  It was amazing that he was able to find it.  Apparently, it was installed years ago before I bought the house and had been covered by the lawn at some point.  Alex saved me about $750 since he could now hydrojet the main line through the clean out that he just found rather than having to install a new one.  Thank you Alex!  A few minutes later, he had the sewer line cleared.  He ran a camera all the way through the sewer line to the city's common line under the street.  He identified a 90 degree elbow under the lawn that he said is probably causing the sewer line to back up.  I appreciate Alex's honesty in telling me that we can probably just replace that single elbow and it will fix our sewage problems.  I was afraid I might need to repipe the entire sewage system.  I will definitely call Sewer Line Video Inspection Company again in the near future to replace that elbow.  If you need anyone to clear a sewer blockage, call these guys!  They are great! <br />"

"What a wonderful plumber! He is competent, diligent, responsive and honest. I only wish the other contractors I have dealt with were on par with this man. I will not let anyone else do plumbing for me. And, this is probably the forth or fifth time I have used him over the years."

"<p>This company is top notched. Javier who schedules the appointments, is a professional, and his customer service skills are impressive. Ed who was the plumber who came to our house and installed our new toilet and was the one who pointed out the musty smell at our front door and proved my suspicious correct when he suggested there could be a broken pipe underneath the house. Sure enough we indeed had a broken pipe, and it was the sewer line and it was underneath our house. He immediately called Giovanni and they both went to work as to analyze the problem and make suggestions of what needed to be done. Giovanni expertise and skills are excellent and told us exactly what needed to be done in order to fix the broken sewer line. Since it was later in the day, they couldn't work on the line until the next day. Ed ended up finishing installing our toilet and then came another problem. The toilet we purchased was defective and Ed was nice enough to come back after we came back from Lowe's with another toilet, so he could finish the installation. Ed did a fantastic job in installing the new toilet. He was courteous and highly skilled. Plotke Red Lilly Plumbing crew did a fantastic job with our toilet and the broken sewer line and there prices are really quite reasonable and I will definitely recommend and use them as our main plumbing company again. </p> <br />"

"The crew arrived on time, and let me know whenever they needed to turn off the water, and announced when they were almost done so I could plan out my day. They hauled away the old water heater which saved us a lot of time and effort to remove. Overall very professional and reasonably priced."

"Mike was very friendly, professional and informative about his work. He was not pushy at all and genuinely empathetic about my inconvenience. Mike capped my old lines and ran a new line through my wall. Very minimal damage and kept the job within a reasonable price for the work. Especially since I avoided an insurance claim (damaged kitchen hardwood floor) . Very happy with his service and I will definitely recommend Acme Plumbing to anyone with a Plumbing issue."

FAQs for basement drainage channels installation projects in Sun City, CA

Expect a well-built French drain to last 30 to 40 years. By channeling both surface- and ground-water away from your foundation, the system relieves hydrostatic pressure and helps prevent costly structural damage. Choose a pipe with a quality cloth filter to keep sediment out and extend the drain’s life. A quick annual inspection and routine cleanouts will keep water flowing freely, ensuring the system continues to protect your home for years to come.

Most French drains sit two feet below grade, but depth ultimately depends on the problem you’re solving. For puddling rainwater or snowmelt, a shallow curtain drain at lawn level often does the trick. To handle rising groundwater, pros dig deeper, down to the footing, and run the pipe beneath the basement slab. A drainage contractor will determine the optimal depth for your specific soil conditions and water issues.

A properly installed interior French drain captures water at the slab, channels it to a sump pit, and directs it safely outside, preventing basement floods before they occur. Because the pipe sits just under the floor edge, a plumber can reach it easily for cleaning or repairs. Pairing the drain with a reliable sump pump gives you the best long-term protection.

Hire a contractor who installs drainage systems every day—typically a foundation specialist, drainage contractor, experienced landscaper, or plumber with waterproofing experience. These pros understand slope, soil, and local codes, and they have the equipment to trench safely around utilities. Ask for references and photos of recent jobs to be sure they can design a system that keeps water off your foundation for decades.

Once the drain is in, patch the yard by reseeding bare spots or replacing plants the crew removed. Inside, look for ways to add value—finishing the basement or upgrading interior waterproofing while the space is open often costs less now than later. Schedule a quick annual checkup to flush sediment and confirm the pipe and sump pump are clear. Consistent maintenance ensures the drain functions properly and protects your investment.

Most policies don’t cover the cost of repairing a French drain itself, but they may provide coverage for water damage if the system fails. Coverage varies by insurer, so be sure to read the fine print or contact your agent before any issues arise. If you live in a high-risk flood zone, consider a separate flood policy to close the gap. Knowing your coverage in advance helps you budget for repairs and avoid unexpected costs.
