"I did a competition on replacing our basement door, reviewing both the solution for a Signet Door and including price installed. After reviewing several solutions from several top rated companies, we decided that On the Level Contracting (OTL) (Peter Psihas) had the best solution for the outside trim with a 12 9/16” Frame Depth. I than went to the 3 lowest bidders (including OTL) with the final configuration to ensure everyone was bidding on the same configuration. After receiving the 3 final bids from top rated companies, OTL had the lowest price. After Peter ordered the door from ProVia, Peter provided me the estimated date he would be receiving the door from Provia. When the door was received Peter notified me and worked with me to schedule the installation date based upon our availability. The installation team from OTL arrived in the schedule time, verified they had the correct door prior to starting the work and did an excellent job installing the replacement door. Peter can to our house prior to the job being completed to ensure I was satisfied and went over the warranty information. Prior to signing the final contract, I talked to Peter about providing the Aluminum and replacing the Aluminum Capping to the side of the garage door that was dented. Peter and his father (George) replaced the capping matching the bends exactly to the top and the other side. I highly recommend using OTL.!!!"

"We had a patio installed in our backyard. We met Bill from Sharper Cut at a home improvement show in Upper Marlboro. He was very professional from the beginning and scheduled a follow up meeting for us to come out and meet with him on that day. Before we had the meeting, he came out to the property to take pictures and see the layout. We had previously had a drawing which we sent him ahead of time. When we met with him, he had prepared several different options for a patio, including landscape. He listened intently to what we wanted and implemented it, including the seating wall, pillars and lights. He was very patient, showed the designs, modified them based on our questions and requests, and explained things very clearly. When there was a delay with a stone that we originally chose for the patio, he had us choose another stone to our liking, without making any adjustments to the price. The crew that did the work, showed up timely and were extremely professional. They would have been completed on time but got delayed because of rain storms that soaked the yard. However, as soon as it dried up they came out and finished the project. We are extremely pleased with the patio and all of our neighbors that come and see it, absolutely love it. I have recommended him to several of my neighbors and would encourage anyone looking for quality work to be done for them to consider Sharper Cut. They are awesome!!!!"

"ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. I hired Binis Ironworks because there was recently a security incident in my house and wanted to be safe before I traveled overseas. Thus I needed work done within a week. Binis Ironworks was the only company that responded so quickly and for a reasonable price. <br /> Mr. Haile came earlier in the week to take a look at what was needed and then provided an estimate. I added a window afterward and he came by another time to take a look and appropriately revised the estimate. I said I absolutely needed the work done before I left for overseas which was about a week later. He said he could take care of it. <br /> Come installation day, it was raining pretty hard. I was wondering whether the work would be done given the weather conditions. But Mr. Haile came with a helper and worked all day through the heavy rain to get everything done. They made sure to keep me informed of what they were doing and pointed out reasons for slight variations (required by code or in order to make things more secure). Overall, the work looks great and I feel my house is very secure. Mr. Haile said he would come back when I returned to take care of a few paint touchups. <br /> I really have nothing but positive things to say. Mr. Haile said some of the less than positive reviews might have been when Mr. Bini (his business partner) was dealing with the severe illness of a family member. But he said things were on track. If Mr. Haile is an indication of where this company is going, I'm sure everything will be alright. Very highly recommended. <br />"

"Jim is extremely friendly and responsive. However, as the weeks stretched into months - and he increased the costs of services twice, my patience grew thin. It took nearly 3 months for 2 bathroom renovations. And throughout the process Jim and his team kept asking us basic questions you would think a home contractor would know. <br /> One of the questions was "how high do you want your shower curtain bar?" It's literally a standard size (75-77 inches). When I came home, it was installed ~6 feet off the ground. I'm 6'4 and was pretty confused why it was so low. I had to ask them to move it. <br /> Similar experience with them placing mirrored medicine cabinets. One bathroom has them so low I can't see my face without squatting. The other bathroom (because we complained) has it so high my wife can't see her face.  <br /> Jim subs out most of his work. We were very lucky that his tile crew did an exceptional job. The rest of the work is pretty mediocre for the price we paid. <br />"

"The sensor installation went great from quote to finish of the installation. Gate Logic's President Shanna provided two quotes, one to replace the existing sensor with the same type and another to replace it with a more robust version. I chose the latter more expensive quote, but I still see it as a very good deal. Gate Logic Security worked very well in coordination with Hand H Asphalt Paving, who I recommend as well. The job went smoothly and all was completed on the same day. <br /> I have little doubt that the gate sensor will provide years of solid service as I witnessed the installation and saw the manner in which it was protected (i.e., the depth to which it was dug, the sand base and covering of the sensor so rocks don't penetrate the plastic jacket and the electrical PVC pipe for the wire from the main box to the sensor to eliminate moisture and rodent ingress / damage)."
