"We had their mowing service for 2 years. It went well until about 2-3 months ago. I think Russell has a new partner because the name changed to R&D Construction and Landscaping. I inquired about a couple of missed mowings, which can happen at end of season if mowing is not needed. Didn't return calls last 2-3 months. I don't have a final bill so if I am billed for these I may update this review. They did good work and I am happy to pay for mowings actually done. Russell used to come with his workers until recently, which is when the problems occured. I don't know why the sudden change in service, but they quit when I asked about the missed mowings, 3 in the past 2 months. The work was good, but communication was bad in the end."

"They installed the system on our property about 18 or so years ago. We get a call every year in the fall to schedule the system to be blown out. We don't have to remember, they do that for us. We have never had frozen pipes in our system with them doing the pre-winter maintenance. If there is every a problem and we need a service call there is always someone in the office to take a call. We have never had to leave a call back number and wait. We have had the same service tech for the last twelve years. Always on time, very professional. and knows what he is doing. They have employees who have been with then for a number of years and they know there stuff. They do so much more than just irrigation. [*** Link removed ***]"

A lawn irrigation business specializing in Winterizing and repairs.\nA completly mobile Soda and or Sand blasting business.\nI started my business originally to get into Soda blasting. After getting my large air compressor I did not have the capital to purchase the Soda blasting equipment. I have spent numerous years in the landscaping and lawn irrigation business so I started a sprinkler winterizing part to my business. I am now being refered by a very large landscape contractor here in Yakima to do the jobs that they can't do. In 2010 I was able to purchase the soda blasting equipment. I have done many jobs from cars to buildings and stainless steel. My system can run just about any type of blasting media through it so I can come up with a solution to clean most surfaces. All my products are enviromently safe. In addition to these business I also restore classic cars. I have done Camaros, Corvettes and have been a part on numerous muscle cars as well as some cars from the 50's. Because this is a part time business, "have a full time job" hours of operation varys. In most cases I can do a service call on the same or next day. Will be in the afternoon through the early evenings. Sat & Sun hours mostly go all day to dusk. Call for more info. New addition to services, I now have water leak and pvc pipe detection equipment. Call for details.

"Reviews were only mediocre about Colonial, but thought I'd give them a try. Wish I hadn't... They came out and sprayed for weed control, 6700 sq. ft. of lawn and did it all in less than 10 minutes, including dragging hose out and putting away. 2 weeks later only about 20% of weeds were wilting. Had to have them come back out for a 2nd application, of which they charged me for, shouldn't have and didn't refund my payment. They also sprayed for Crabgrass control on a separate occasion and again 2 weeks later, only about 20% of Crabgrass was wilting. Had to have them come back out and spray again. They weren't supposed to spray the Bent grass in the lawn and did it anyway, now dead spots all over my back lawn. Could not be more disappointed in my experience."

FAQs for lawn and garden sprinkler system installation projects in Sunnyside, WA

While drip irrigation systems have higher upfront costs, they can save you money in the long run. By delivering water directly into the soil with minimal evaporation and runoff, drip irrigation systems conserve water and improve efficiency. This means better performance and results for your landscaping, and cost savings over the system's lifespan.

Yes, irrigation systems can add value to your home, especially when installed with high-quality materials and a solid design. A well-irrigated landscape enhances curb appeal and can attract potential buyers. However, poor design or installation may reduce performance and even decrease your property's value. Hiring an expert for installation and performing regular maintenance is key to securing the long-term benefits.

A local irrigation professional can help you check your drip irrigation system to make sure it's in good shape. You'll want to make sure the water pressure is in a good range, repair any leaks as soon as possible, and cover the cost to winterize your sprinkler system as recommended by your irrigation contractor.

A drip irrigation system lasts between 10 and 15 years. This lifespan is determined by the quality of materials, the precision of installation, and regular professional maintenance. Unlike traditional sprinkler systems that can last up to 50 years, the thinner piping used in drip systems is more sensitive to UV exposure and environmental wear. Proper upkeep and timely repairs enhance durability and ensure consistent irrigation performance.

Drip irrigation is best suited for plant beds, containers, greenhouses, and row crops. It supplies water directly to individual plants, ensuring precise moisture control where it is needed most. For areas with simple layouts, above-ground systems work efficiently, while subsurface installations may be cost-prohibitive in spaces with extensive tree roots or irregular terrain. Proper planning maximizes the benefits of drip irrigation across a variety of applications.
