"We completely gutted and renovated our entire house, using several different companies. We were content with the final product, but wanted to add a large fan to the main living room several months after the house was completed. We hired Rounds Construction for the job and of everyone we worked with, they were one of the most professional companies. They arrived at our house exactly when they said they would come. Moved all of our furniture out of the way very carefully. They never complained about crawling 50 feet through our tight attic space to the other side of the house to install the electrical in a very difficult spot. The fan installation is flawless and the price was very reasonable. They left the place cleaner than when they arrived by doing touch up paint on the ceiling and by the light switches, vacuumed, and patiently moved our furniture several times to exactly where we wanted it. I would definitely hire Rounds Construction again and again!"

"Josh called me and gave me the names of the pros he uses to do this type of work. He explained that if I work as my own General Contractor, I could save myself the 20% he would charge to manage the projects. I appreciate all the referrals."

"Rojas construction did an amazing job with our home! We couldn’t be happier how it turned out. Joel Rojas was our lead contact and he listened to all of our needs Without being pushy or trying to upswell us. The guys were always on time to start the days projects and they were all very professional and courteous. They understood we were living in our house during construction with kids and they worked around us. They were priced under other competitors for the same job but didn’t cut any corners. We love our house and next time we need any work done we are calling Joel and his team at Rojas construction."

"All went very well. It was an expensive project for us to take on but we are very pleased with the end results. Our contractor had to commute from Queen Creek daily and had family obligations which I am sure affected his work schedule. Exceptionally pleasant to work with throughout the project."

"Prompt and fair on price. Cameron is a nice guy. I did have to do some touch ups myself after he left and he seemed in a rush. Good overall, just wish he would’ve taken a bit more time to get all the little things done right. That said, I’m a perfectionist and this would probably have been a 5 star job for anyone else."

"I know nothing about construction. M3 is a family owned business and has exceptional reviews, which is why I selected them (after getting several other quotes). This was my first remodel on my first home (which is REALLY old) - I had LOTS of questions, and M3 was very responsive and patient with me throughout the whole process. They took a very family oriented approach with me and I never felt that they were out to make the big bucks with me. When I was designing the remodel, Brian provided me with his recommendations, and M3 did things for me that I didn't even request (like put together a ceiling fan and come up with a better solution to my electrical issue that saved me A LOT of money). They were very fast - in and out within a week for a whole kitchen remodel. I rated them a and quot;Band quot; in quality as some of the tiny 1/2 inch glass backsplash aren't 100% aligned. Also, the countertops were ordered before the cabinets were installed. The backsplash is not noticeable unless I point it out (it's just me being picky). They were absolutely wonderful and I believe I paid an excellent price for what I got. Come time for my bathroom remodel, they will be the ones I call. <br />"

FAQs for basement remodeling projects in Suprstitn-mtn, AZ

Finishing a basement turns unused square footage into livable space and returns up to 70% of what you spend when you sell your home. Beyond that resale boost, you gain a playroom, home office, or guest suite you can start enjoying right away. That mix of daily comfort and solid return on investment (ROI) makes basement finishing one of the smartest upgrades you can tackle.

In some parts of the country—especially lots on swamps, high water tables, or other wetlands—local codes prohibit basements. Saturated soil puts constant pressure on foundation walls and lets water seep in faster than any sump pump can handle.

If your property sits on waterlogged ground, building on a slab or crawl space is often safer, more affordable, and code-compliant.

Most basements wrap up in four to eight weeks. Framing takes three to five days, with electrical and plumbing rough-ins following over the next week. Add five days for drywall, two to three for flooring, and another week for paint, trim, and punch-list items.

Delays can happen if materials run late or your contractor’s calendar is packed, so build in a little cushion when you plan.

Whether a finished basement counts toward your home’s official square footage depends on local rules. Many areas only include below-grade space if it has code-approved egress, fully finished walls, ceilings, and floors, plus consistent heating.

Check with your local assessor or building department before you start; meeting those standards can affect taxes, appraisals, and resale value.

Building codes require a checklist: dedicated heat and electrical service, a code-approved stairway, and at least one egress window or exterior door. Walls, ceilings, and floors must be fully finished and meet insulation, ventilation, and fire-separation standards. If you add a bedroom, you’ll also need a closet, proper clearances, and safe exits. If you change the layout later, be ready to update the space so every new room still meets today’s code.
