"We truly cannot say enough good things about Tom and his crew. Tom repeatedly came to our house during the design phase to ensure that the final product was exactly what we had envisioned. He made several great suggestions during the process. He responded to phone calls and emails. He was always punctual. In order to finish the job in time for an event that was held at our home, Tom and his crew needed to start on July 17th. The job started on July 17th and continued through the hottest period of this summer. They worked diligently regardless of the frequently oppressive heat. <br /> They took great care in accessing our property (through our neighbor' yard), creating as little disruption as possible. We have dogs - they were always cognizant to replace the fence each evening so that I wouldn't have to worry about dogs escaping. Upon completion of the job, Tom and his crew graded the area that had served as the staging area, seeded it and then covered it with hay. <br /> The finished product is truly amazing - it is everything we had hoped and beyond. The quality of the workmanship is evident throughout the project. Everyone who has seen it is in awe. It was a very big undertaking and I'm sure taxed Tom throughout the process but he delivered exactly what we wanted, he delivered it on time and he delivered it as it was originally budgeted. They were in and out quickly and did a thorough job. They also "educated" me on other things to help prevent future issues. We had no doubt that the company knew exactly what work was needed, and that we weren't going to suddenly be confronted by unexpected additional work and costs. When the work crew arrived on the first day, the crew boss was very happy to see that the estimate *exactly* matched the actual work! The crew was there for three days, exactly as estimated. They arrived promptly each day, and cleaned up after themselves before they left. All the work was done very well; we're very pleased with the results. When the crew discovered that one of the new lights had arrived with the glass broken, they notified us right away, and agreed to come back to install the light when the replacement arrived. "Had an electric baseboard heater (about 11 years old) catch fire in its control housing (Kolb did not install this heater). Luckily damage was minimal, but I called Kolb to disconnect the heater's wiring and remove the heater from the wall. Electrician was out there that same day and we're very happy & relieved now that the heater has gone! I've used Kolb in the past (found them on Angie's List) to remove an old ceiling fan/install its replacement, and replace an exterior flood light fixture. They've always done a great job."

"They are based in Laurel, MD. The electrician lives 30 seconds down the road from me. So instead of going into the office, he gets what he needs the previous day and came at 7:00 in the morning. He works fast. He works in six hours what some electricians would do in eight hours. He knocked out all of the drywall because when you put in brick slates, you have to put it on concrete board. When the drywall was knocked out, he had all of the open space he needed to do the electrical work. I would definitely use him again. In fact, I will use him this fall. Only one guy came out and he was in and out in five working days. The living room was a whole day by itself. The kitchen was another 3-4 days. He was on time. He showed up early and was done early in the day. If he needed anything, he would go to the electrical supply house and pick it up. I picked out the lighting fixtures, and he hung them. I got these flat switches for the kitchen instead of the regular up and down switches. I had gotten a half dozen of them. They are very nice. He also moved an outlet where the pantry is now, and reverse it where it goes downstairs on the other side of the wall. In my town home, when you plug the vacuum in you have to plug it all the way into an outlet a good distance away. So, just reversing it and putting it in the middle of the hallway. That way, when you vacuum the steps, you don't have a long cord from the vacuum cleaner. The owner was very nice. I dealt with him and his wife, she does all of the bookkeeping. He was always very nice. He came out to give me the estimate. Scott was a very hard and fast worker. He didn't even have to turn off the electricity, he worked with hot wires."
