From their professionalism and kindness, to their transparency with scope of work and pricing, there's not a better company to trust with your renovation/build. Every person we encountered with SES from the Owner to the amazing men and women who worked on the house were kind, honest, and open. It was so comforting to trust the people spending time in our home. They were more than just the staff working on our renovation, they were people we were able to get to know. Here are some bullets to describe our experience as succinctly as possible: Our plan: - My husband and I knew exactly how we wanted the finished product to look, so we were able to provide SES with lots of pictures so they could envision the end goal as well. - We purchased all of the materials for the project (flooring, cabinetry, appliances, backsplash, etc.), and SES made the project come to life! The Details: - On our first call, we were able to schedule a time to have someone come out and assess the scope of work. - Within a couple of days Perry came to the house, assessed our first floor, discussed our plan, and we sent him our inspiration pictures via email. - Within 1 week we had a detailed quote including product and labor pricing. - We were able to schedule a meeting with Perry to adjust pricing since we were purchasing our own materials, and the next morning we had an updated quote within our budget. - Once we paid for permits, the process began and within 6 weeks (because Jefferson Parish took a while to complete the permitting) work started; at this point we had all of our materials ready for the renovation, and all of the work went smoothly from there. - We added on 3 big projects throughout the renovation and they made it so easy. We'd reach out via email, Ashley and Perry would respond with confirmation and pricing, and we'd be able to move forward the following day with the new work. Their process: - Ashley who manages the office, would reach out every evening via email to let us know who would be on site the next day, what time they would arrive, and the scope of work on the list to complete. - If any pieces of work weren't finished on the planned day, Ashley would reach out to let us know why and when the item would be finished. - If anything came up during the renovation that Perry or Luis felt needed to be addressed, they would call us, offer us multiple solutions with pricing, and allow us to chose the option that was the best fit for us. Do yourself a favor and work with them; they're awesome!"

"We used Bob's Painting to paint our kitchen and cabinets (stain to white). Ron and his crew were punctual, professional, fast, thorough, and they never left a mess. Communication was great and I couldn't be happier with the finished product. It seems a lot of companies either don't want to paint cabinets, or they charge an arm and a leg to do it. Ron and his crew did a fantastic job at a fair price. I would highly recommend."

"It's been a "mixed bag". It began last February after we had our driveway replaced, and we needed some work to repair the damage to the lawn and also to address other issues. We were told it would be about 3 - 4 weeks before he could get to the job, but it proved to be much longer. Eventually Eric found time in his busy schedule to do the work, which included resetting some paving stones next to the drive and in the backyard, adding sod to the edges along the driveway, some minor drainage work in the front, and bringing in some new sod for the backyard. There were repeated delays, but eventually the initial phase of the work was completed. However the sod in the backyard was only enough to cover a portion of the area that needed attention, so we asked Eric to provide some more. He said another pallet would be sufficient, but it wasn't enough, and we asked to have a third pallet brought in - and to have some sand added in some low spots. This last has never happened - there was an apparent miscommunication about the request. In the meantime, portions of the sod that were brought in died. This may be from overwatering and the heavy rains we had, but even the areas that haven't died have deteriorated significantly. We asked Eric to come out and give us an assessment of what to do about the problem, which he promised to do within a day or two. That wsa early July, and we've heard nothing. As I look out on the backyard, I see broad dead patches where the new sod was brought in. Only one small area has survived well, and new we're contemplating having someone else come in to clean up the mess.

"The roof cost about $8000.00 or $9000.00. The end result was fantastic. It took a couple of different crews before the owner Eric Newsom was happy with what they did with my house. The first crew that came in he didn't like the work they were doing so he sent in another crew. They did a fantastic job. That was the same crew that wound up doing all the carpentry work and everything else. They were great. Their value was excellent. I suspect he probably lost money on my house. I would use them again in the future if they were the same guys."
