"We searched for a long time to find the right landscaping company to work in our backyard. We had a need that was easy to explain, but we were open to what that solution was. Wayside came out, drew pictures to make sure I understood what was being done, asked me if I liked one option more than another, and then executed the drawing perfectly! They took an 8 by 50 foot mud puddle and turned it into a landscape masterpiece that allows proper water flow. They were courteous and professional while here, cleaned up everything very nicely, and were just fun to watch!"

"I can't say anything negative about the work done with pavers, etc. However, when it came to their landscaping, grading, seeding and mulching, I had to do it over myself due lack of workmanship and follow-up. I supplied the mulch and there was only 1/2 - 3/4" placed around shrubs and a re-planted tree. Grading the yard would not have been close to what was agreed if I hadn't been present when completed. Seeding the yard was done twice with zero growth. One issue is there was topsoil to be applied but I, nor soil suppliers and other landscapers had never seen gray topsoil, which the company owner assured me was quality soil to use. As for grass seed, I'm not sure what was used but the only thing that grew was crabgrass, which I had to rid from my yard. My costs for properly adding quality soil, seed and then adding straw for germination was FAR less than what I was charged to do an improper and far from a professional job. Additional cost on my part will be adding mulch to a proper level and will be approximately an additional 25 -30 bags. As for the work on the pavers, it was a quality job. However, considering the overall job and the lack of properly completing the contracted work (and paid in full prior to completion - my fault), I could NOT recommend this company primarily due to lack of honesty in completing the work as contracted and lack of honesty on the part of the company."

This design was accomplished quickly and easily. Kurt and his crew did an amazing job executing the agreed upon design! The Distinct landscapes crew are professional, efficient and very dedicated to their job! My wife and I are thrilled with the results and cost. "Mark Simpson and East Coast Landscaping were great to work with on this project. At every step of the way, Mark worked with us to get what we want, and stay within the budget we had set. They were able to completely change our backyard from a plain old DC yard with a less than ideal deck, into an oasis in NE DC. They were able to take my original plans for our yard and create a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the DC work life and stay within budget while still adding in the little extras we came up with in the last few days. The value of the work done will add 2 times the amount spent on the project once we decide to sell and move on form this house. But that will be tough to do now that we have the backyard of our dreams. I would highly recommend East Coast Landscaping for any work you are considering getting done to your house. They are professionals and know what they are doing. It is well worth getting a quote from Mark on your next project, as they were not over priced and certainly not hard to work with through out the project. They are a quality company who valued us as customers. They where willing to come back a month later to do touch ups from the project, and fix our gate which we foolishly left open for the wind to slam shut and damage."

"The GPRO Landscaping team was responsive, professional and efficient. They contacted me within a day of placing my work request on Angie's list. Eric, their manager, came to our property the next day to take a look at the work site, explain to us what was needed and answer any questions. We received a formal quote online about four days later, for a cost that was half that of other providers. The day of the job, two employees showed up at the time agreed and started replacing the posts as requested, without much of our input. The job was finished in two days and the site was left clean. We are extremely happy with their service and will continue to engage them for future garden projects."
