"EGC construction did an absolute marvelous job on my master bathroom and closet. They did so well in fact I ended up redoing the whole upstairs. This included 2 full baths and bedrooms 3 closets multiple windows flooring tile work sheet rock etc. It was a total face lift. The upstairs used to be the place I hid from guest now it makes me want to redo my downstairs. Everyone who sees the new master bedroom loves how clean and professional it looks. "<br /> <p>Well there it is – the beautifully restored home (see previous post) that inspired me call Berkley Construction in the first place.  (Walking my dog around the neighborhood, I often went by to see the latest developments as the exterior began to shaped up - pleased to see how carefully the home was restored.)    <br /> Upon meeting with Keith Berkley about my bathroom remodel, I was impressed from the beginning as he seemed very comfortable with the project I put before him.  Other contractors I had talked to were leery about my vision for a 1920s-style bathroom & tried to convince me to move forward with a more “updated” treatment that didn’t fit the character of my home.<br /> ESTIMATES, STARTUP, & PROCESS - Keith wrote up estimates that gave me options (throughout the process) so I could make informed decisions about the project priorities while staying within my budget.  At 'startup', Keith assembled the entire project crew to meet with me for a review of the construction plan which really gave me a confidence that everyone was on the same page going into the project.  During the process, the guys all listened well to what I wanted & asked questions along the way to ensure my expectations were being met.  Since I only have one bathroom, extra effort was made to keep my toilet working for as long as possible, for which I was especially grateful. <br /> FINISH WORK - As for the patch work along the adjacent living room wall, no one can tell there was a huge hole in the wall (with missing picture-rail moulding) unless I tell them.  They did a great job of matching the surrounding wall texture as well as the moulding. <br /> FAIR & EQUITABLE – As with any construction project, there are bound to be unanticipated issues to address which sometimes involve changes in cost.  While this project was no exception, I don’t believe these were used to my disadvantage at all.   Before starting into this remodel, I had heard far too many bad-contractor stories to be fully confident about which company to choose.  Berkley Construction proved to be a wise choice & I would certainly recommend them without hesitation.<br /> Thanks to Keith, Gary, Steve, Tim, Mark, Ricardo, Joe & Jose for a beautiful (& functional) bathroom!</p>"

"Dave added on a junior suite and bathroom to my house in 2006. In May 2011, we noticed that some tiles in the shower were buckling. This seemed particularly unusual as this room and bath are a guest room and bath and are not used daily by any means, and this was on an original exterior wall. In any event, I called Dave. He came by the house the following week to examine the shower. He determined that the wall was sound (it was an original exterior wall, not one Dave built) but rather that the subcontractor did a substandard job setting the tile. Dave left indicating that he would try to reach the sub, but felt certain the sub had gone out of business. Dave phoned me the next day to say the phone number he had for the sub was no longer in service. He then made arrangements for his current sub to come over after hours to make the repair. This sub determined that many more tiles were affected and reset tile on almost the entire wall. I was not charged for this...luckily, I had kept plenty of tiles at the time of construction, so there were no materials to be purchased. I was so appreciative of such follow up service...5 years later.! No excuses made, Dave stood by his work. That's a rarity these days. I highly recommend Dave not only for the outstanding job he did at the time of construction, but for his standing by his work and those he subs work out to...even when those subs disappear. I had spent in excess of $70,000 for this remodel and felt disappointed that a mere 5 years later, it was falling apart. But Dave made it right."
