"Poor communication. Fixtures to be replaced were handheld shower heads. They asked me about what type of stopper I wanted but not shower head. Assumed I was getting same but no so they had to leave site to get replacement (decided to only do guest). They also did not explain how new shower head worked in master worked so when I called to say it was not working I was mansplained over the phone how it works. This told me they didn’t even test it while they were here. They did come out to replace it with the one they didn’t use but it also turned out it was user error (I wasn’t pressing hard enough because I was afraid to break it). They did a good job but if customer interaction is important to you this is not the company for you."

Lucky for me the owner of APS, Julian, had called and convinced me they could find it and told me the exact amount the repair would cost, which was a lot less than others quotes. I told the first company I found another and paid them for their 3 hours of service with 3 guys - but only one would work at a time. Texas APS sent out one guy. He actually worked instead of standing around or talking into a cell phone. Julian came by around 12:30 and while we were talking the worker stopped for a break after digging for hours. Julian the boss asked, taking a break, huh? And the guy was like yeh, I'm taking a break because it is a good time to. Julian said "It is?" And the worker said, yeh, I found the leak. I immediately said you're joking, but he showed us. The owner was so happy he took the worker out for lunch. But the Julian was sure all along he would find it. They had a bad experience once working for Julian's brother in law. It took them 5 days of digging to find the leak, but they learned a lot from that experience. I was so happy with their work I will have them out again to install a new drain on our water heater and will hire them when our 17- year old water heater needs replaced."

I found them through Angie's list, and called to set up an appointment for the quote. They have a really user friendly reminder system so after calling I got an automated email with the date/time and they arrived on time for the appointment. After that initial visit Teresa sent me 4 quotes! The first had just the work I initially called about, installing the PRV. The other 3 had additional options based on their best practice recommendations - such as installing a Thermal Expansion Tank to prevent PRV discharge and replacing the flexible piping on my water heater with solder weld copper. Each quote had a different price point and thorough explanation of each component so I could make a well informed decision and pick the option that best suited my needs and budget. I chose to upgrade the project from just the PRV to the PRV along with the Thermal Expansion Tank and Copper piping. The install went very well, again sent me an appointment reminder and were on time for the install appointment. They were very professional and showed me the work and the new location for shutting off the main line in the event of an emergency after the PRV install. I highly recommend working with them, I will absolutely use them again for any future plumbing needs!"
