"While ABV was able to eventually repair my GE Profile counter depth refrigerator, it took a long time with a lot of trial and error, and was extremely expensive. It seems like the tech didn't know what he was doing, and diagnosed repairs that didn't need to be made. First, the tech diagnosed the problem as a bad control panel, which cost $2,400 to replace. That didn't fix the problem. Next, the tech guessed that the problem was the compressor control board and replaced that. To ABV's credit, they didn't charge me for the control board when that didn't turn out to be the problem. Finally, they decided that the compressor needed to be replaced, which cost $1800. That fixed the issue. Three simultaneous systems failures is highly improbable, and I strongly suspect that if the compressor had been replaced first, I would have avoided spending an additional $2400. I should have gone with GE's repair service first, but no availability for 2 weeks. ABV took 3.5 weeks to finally repair."
