"David did an amazing job installing the new countertops in both of our bathrooms. From the very beginning he was quick to schedule the work and took the time to answer all of my questions. Anytime I sent him a text, he responded quickly and was always helpful and professional. David and his team are extremely skilled, and the quality of their work really shows. The installation was smooth, efficient, and the finished countertops look fantastic. It’s clear they take pride in what they do. I highly recommend Alliance Granite and Quartz if you’re looking for someone reliable who does excellent work."

"Paul and his team were great from start to finish. We had issues with rodents in an inaccessible crawl space. Him and his team demoâ d our floor, found the issue, solved the issue, and reinstalled a beautiful laminate floor. Paul was professional, responsive, and accommodating to our needs through the entirety of the project. I highly recommend!"

"Reed made sure every detail was perfect when installing our laundry room cabinets. It was not an easy job given the curious placement of studs and small space we had available, but he worked meticulously to meet his own high standards. He also helped us pick a trim that fit the space perfectly - he has a great eye for design for those who are overwhelmed by the options available."

"The design recommendations, materials, and workmanship were all excellent. I love my updated kitchen. I was the general contractor, but they made good recommendations for flooring, countertops, appliances, etc. and coordinated well with others."

"From start to finish, Kevin was the consummate professional. He was very responsive to phone and text, came out to look at the job and make a plan for the installation. He was clearly very knowledgeable about glass tile and an expert in tile design/installation. He and his assistant came exactly when they said they would to do the job, and created a beautiful backsplash for me. I've had some challenges with contractors lately, and Kevin really helped me out of a jam and was a bright light in a sea of frustration! The entire process was smooth from start to finish."

"Van was very quick and responsive.   The whole process took 3 days.  We were very satisfied with the service in the beginning.  I need to mention that our floors were in horrible shape with multiple holes throughout the house.  He closed the holes and did patching work. But after the job was done and we got into the house we noticed a number of issues.  Living room floor had some areas where the polish wasn't spread evenly and it dried out in lumps. It looked like somebody spilled something on our floors (it was basically lumps of dry polish).
Upstairs floors were not evenly sanded and we still have large cracks between the boards that were not filled in.   Some parts are still pretty rough that i scratched my feel just by walking on the floor.  I must admit that the floors were in had condition,  and seemed like Van's crew didn't want to take their time to fix some old boards.
Price was good and he was very quick, but I am not sure if I will hire him again.  I might do it if I have better floors to begin with.

FAQs for laminate countertops installation projects in Thornton, PA

With the right care and a professional installation, laminate counters last 10 to 15 years. Wipe up spills quickly, clean with a nonabrasive product, and keep hot pots off the surface to prevent warping or scorch marks. Limiting prolonged moisture at seams also pays off. Your installer can walk you through simple maintenance habits that will help you squeeze every year out of your new counters.

Yes—if the existing laminate is solid and level, a pro can bond a fresh sheet right on top. They’ll rough up the old surface, apply the correct adhesive, and make precise cuts so the new layer sits tight. Skipping steps can lead to bubbles or weak seams, so this project is best left to an experienced installer who has the tools to deliver a clean, durable finish.

Absolutely, you can give tired laminate a facelift with paint, tile, or a concrete overlay instead of a full tear-out. The key is thorough prep: clean, degrease, and lightly sand so the new finish sticks.

Follow the product instructions for primer, sealers, and cure times, or hire a pro if you’d rather avoid the mess. When done correctly, these updates freshen the look and add a few more years of useful life.

Mix baking soda with just enough water to form a paste, then spread it over the stain and let it sit for five minutes. Wipe away with a soft, damp cloth—don’t scrub, as abrasives can dull the surface. Repeat if needed. For stubborn marks, ask your installer about cleaners made specifically for laminate.

Laminate isn’t built to battle the elements. Water, UV rays, and temperature swings quickly cause swelling, fading, and mold. Even a covered patio won’t protect the material for long. If you’re planning an outdoor kitchen or bar, skip laminate and choose a weather-tough option like stone, tile, or concrete so you don’t end up replacing your counters after the first season.

Traditional laminate isn’t the greenest choice. Most sheets rely on plastics like melamine and can emit trace VOCs over time. They also can’t be recycled at the end of their life. A few brands now use recycled pulp cores, but plastics still make up much of the product.

If sustainability tops your list, consider natural or recyclable materials such as solid wood, stone, or recycled glass instead.
