When they came to do the work, they were courteous and always willing to answer any questions I had about the process. "All Roofing Eagle did a fantastic job on removing our old shingles and installing a new roof. I have never seen anything like it. In one day a large crew showed up, removed all of the old shingles, checked for plywood damage, and installed a nice new shiny roof. Plus they cleaned up our property and gutters of debris. Very professional and great communication. Amazingly enough they had the lowest bid too. Talk about taking the stress out of a large project. I would strongly recommend them to anyone needing to replace an old roof. These guys are work horses."

"We had Ramon come up and quote us a roof tear off and replacement including 7 skylights. He was our 3rd bid. He was very competitive pricewise and gave us a 40 year roof where the other were quoting 30. Now for the work. His crew started tear off on a Friday and had it completed in just one day. This is where I had my concern - just how much debris would end up in the driveway, lawn and landscaped areas ? I came home from work and his guys were hand carrying the old roofing up and over the roof into a dump trailer. They were very conscientious. You couldn't have filled half a trashcan with what ended up on the ground after the tear off. They also cleaned up several times during the day and they always cleaned up before leaving. I went out a couple times and started picking up a bit and I was always told "we'll clean up" They also made several sweeps around the entire site with a magnet to pick up and nails after they were done On to the roof - Malarkey Vista AR 40 year roof shingles, Artic Seal barrier roofing felt and even leaded pipe vent flashing (no silicone rubber booted flashing to rot out in 15 - 20 years) and Velux skylights. all top shelf material. His crew started Saturday morning , on site promptly at 7 am. They had the garage half of the front and almost the entire back of the house roofed on Saturday. They peaked out Sunday and installed the ridge vent. I even asked if they would sheet my woodshed and roof it since they were here and they knocked that out in about 3 hours. Probably the only guy with a woodshed with a 4o year in the neighborhood ! 49 square tear down and replacement in 3 days seems pretty impressive to me. These guys totally rocked this job ! I was and still am very impressed with the quality of work they did ! For a roof replacement I can't recommend Ramon and Spruce It Up Northwest highly enough Nick Teeter"

"Wanted to share the experience I just had with JLV Re-Roofing my 27 year old roof. From the time I was contacted by them to come out for a Free estimate to the time they drove the trailer away after the job was done, these guys were FIRST Class! The salesman, AR, did a fantastic job paying close attention to details that all the other companies missed during my bidding process. He pointed out things like my bathroom fan vents were going out thru my intakes and needed flapper vents installed in the roof for them. He also took note of my skylight and advised it get replaced while the roof was new. He asked about installing a roof anchor for safety to help with maintaining my roof. Little things yes, but things that are VERY important to protecting my main asset! Most of the other guys just came, took some measurements, and said I will send you a quote in a few days via email, without even asking me what I wanted in my new roof (i.e. HIGH profile ridge, what type of shingles, warranty I was looking for, etc.). One company was more interested in changing my attic ventilation all around and getting it up to the latest code, when NONE of my plywood was moldy or rotten and it is not required by law so why change what has worked for 27 years! JLV confirmed my house had adequate and equal intake and exhaust, and that we did not need to cut a bunch of new holes in the roof or eaves. That is the kind of straight up honesty you will get with JLV. The work crew was phenomenal! It took them two days to tear off and re-roof my 29 square home. During the project, the foreman would check in with me on how it was looking and if I had any questions or concerns. The crew paid attention to every detail in my quote and did an incredible job! I am one happy customer and would recommend JLV to anybody out there looking to put a new roof on their house. Don't be timid by the size of this company. "Rain City Roofers: an honest, straightforward, skilled and reasonable roofing contractor I was entertaining the idea of having a major home improvement entity install a new roof, new screened gutters and new upstairs windows on my 1911 home in inner SE Portland, but the price tag shock (over $30K for those three projects) gave me considerable pause. And this companyâ s sales technique (which I now know is called â price conditioningâ (contractor starts out with what they represent as the average price for the type of project, rather than figuring the time and materials cost and adding a reasonable profit), was a turn-off. When I questioned the price approach, the big outfit started offering a much lower price. But now I did not trust them. Instead, after more research, I decided to go with three different companies, each of which specialized in only one product and service, and each of which was very straightforward regarding its bid to do the work. One of those companies was a gutter outfit, which in turn referred me to Rain City Roofers in Vancouver for my roofing needs. Rain City was not the lowest bid I received for the roofing job on our SE Portland home, but I was impressed by the high level of installation quality (e.g., using more nails than the minimum to ensure shingles would not blow off, as well as its use of an attractive and intelligently designed architectural shingle made by Owens Corning, a tried & true company, and also the degree of care that Rain City put into planning and executing the roofing proposal. But what absolutely sold me on Rain City Roofers was its honesty and straightforwardness from start to finish, by each and every person connected with the company, including its knowledgable sales rep Don, the receptionist (Elizabeth), the entire roofing crew that came out, and the owner Jason and his son Austin. I could not be happier with the finished product, and I wholeheartedly and without reservation recommend Rain City Roofers to those in the Portland metro area. "I live on the Oregon coast and had a new roof installed in 2015. It had persistent leak issues that the contractor could not/did not fix. Romvil repaired the leaks, re-built rotted out interior and exterior walls, and replaced our interior sheetrock. They were very clear about letting us know exactly what they knew we needed to have done, before they did it. They showed us computer generated plans that explained why we had problems and what they were going to do. They were totally honest about cost and made sure we had agreed to what it would cost before they did the work. I will gladly. hire them again!!!"
