"Installed laminated wood flooring in kitchen, breakfast nook and laundry. The product used was a very high grade that was on sale. In addition, they repaired my damaged subfloor as well as removed the existing flooring. The installers were very courteous going above what was necessary to complete the project . The service was very professional taking care to clean up during as well as after the installation was finished. Mr Will McAllister my consultant communicated with me promptly about anything that was unexpected affected the installation for example when the installers noticed the damage was more substantial than they could handle Will called me immediately to alert me that he had a specialist coming to take care of the damage. From the beginning Mr. McAllister included optional pricing of services that might arise during the installation so nothing came as a surprise when I paid the final bill. To say that I am pleased with the service and integrity of this business is an understatement they exceed my expectations. I want to add the Economy Carpet Shop came in at a $1,000 less than what I was quoted at lowes for rolled vinyl floor installation of the same area. Mr. McAllister has a customer for life. I highly recommend this business as AAAA plus. <br />"

"He worked around my budget as I could not afford it all at once.  So he found the white rustic oak that matched the rest of my house perfectly and had it delivered and put in my house to "acclimate" until I could pay for the installation. (It was 5" varying lenghts)  I did pay him for the wood.  It " acclimated for 2 months, then I called him and said I was ready for him to install it.  He said he would be in Myrtle Beach the next week and would do it then.  He came as stated, put the floors down, sanded and stained them.  Came back day or 2 later and finished the job.  Beautiful!!!  And then I paid him.  He was so flexible with the payments and the timeline.  He was fantastic. <br />"

"They came out and went over all of the options, we were going to go with a different product, but they informed us that with our dogs, it might not have been the best choice.  Installation went smoothly, completely happy with the product.  This was our second time using them.  We also had tile floors put in our kitchen, mud room and all bathrooms through them and their contractors."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Timmonsville, SC

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
