"Mike in sales was great to work with. He did everything to make sure we got our carpet really quick. The installers were 'ok'. Two younger guys that were really chatty with each other, sometimes loud, and they really didn't seem to care what they said. Helped themselves to my restroom which wasn't ok in my book. But, I do realize that good workers are hard to find and it could've been alot worse. I'm happy with the whole process even though I already stepped on a tack strip nail poking through......."

"The employees in the store were very knowledgeable and helpful in selecting the tile and grout color to match. They take their time with all customers who walk through the door. Tile arrived when they said it would. Very good quality and they have a huge selection to choose from. Looking forward to using them again in the future. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"The workers arrived on schedule, and completed the work within a few hours. They were friendly, courteous and very professional in their workmanship. The new floor looks beautiful and I am very pleased with the results. This is the third time I've had flooring installed by this company in the past couple years, and each time they have done an excellent job. <br />"

"Scott was very professional, polite and friendly. We told him that we needed someone right away to make some carpet repairs and he said that he couldn't do it at that time as he was booked up. We explained our problem, that we had to have this project completed by Monday, May 26th and Scott said that he would work us into his schedule for Friday morning, May 23rd. He arrived on time and got right to work and completed the job in a little over 2 hours. When Scott finished the job, he put everything away and picked up after himself. His cost was extremely reasonable at $100.00 for his time and repairs. We definitely would use Scott again and we would recommend Scott's Carpet Showcase to anyone that needs to buy carpet, install it or repair it. Scott went out of his way to help us and for that we are very gratefull along with the nice job he did."

"I was so pleased. The owner Jeff explained everything and did say I would probably have to wait until we got a dry spell. Concrete holds moisture. I was patient and it really paid off. Vince, the installer, was really meticulous and did a beautiful neat job. I'm fussy and I don't hesitate to give negative reviews to those who deserve them. AEY PLUS FLOORING, however, is in the A+ class. I tell everyone what a great job they did!!! <br />"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Titusville, PA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
