When I hired them, the owner conveniently "forgot" to mention that my project would take 8 days--unlike every other driveway project, which typically takes just two. What he didn't explain is that most of those eight days would be filled with... nothing. They tore out my driveway, and then--silence. No work for two days. When I followed up, Michelle from the office told me they were waiting on a village inspection, which could take anywhere from two days to a week. That seemed strange, so I called the village directly. They informed me that no such inspection is required. When I confronted the owner and asked if this was his first time working in my village, he said no. I then asked why his office would mislead me about inspections if they've worked here before. "I would not recommend this company. The crew arrived late, did not work efficiently, and left an hour early. There was also a lot of time spent walking around without actually working. My project specifically involved large weed removal, which was agreed upon in advance. However, partway through the job, I was told they couldn't complete that portion because there wasn’t room in the trailer—despite there being available space in both the trailer and the back of the truck, especially if tarps had been used. Instead, the team shifted to removing small weeds (which I didn’t need), stating they had to fill the 8 hours per Eric, the owner. Our contract clearly outlined 8 hours of labor, and the $250 trailer fee for removal was supposed to be separate from that work time. Despite this, the crew left early, saying they needed time to drop off the trailer. I reached out to Eric three times and requested that the team return to complete the job as agreed or to issue a partial refund. He has not responded. (Ironically, he was very responsive when securing the job—something echoed in other reviews.)"
