"We had 25+ year old asphalt driveway that was badly cracked and damaged from some recent construction. Nick took time to assess our driveway and listen to our needs and concerns. He answered our questions and helped us understand what options we had. Their prices were competitive. The team did a great job on installation day and we have been very pleased with our driveway so far."

"They resealed the driveway and sealed the cracks. It looks good no complaints, for the price it was definitely worth not doing the work myself. <br /> They had to reschedule a few times due to rain, but always called me the day of to let me know and reschedule. <br />"

"Craig and his team communicated well. They did a fine job. And most importantly, they came back to re-seal because a storm hit right when they were finishing up. They came back a second time to repair another area of the asphalt drive. Very trustworthy, quality work."

"When arriving to my office, I noticed A.R.S. working on the lot of the building next door. I introduced myself to Ronnie and his partner and asked them for a quote to do my lot as well. They were both very friendly and professional. Ronnie stopped in a short time later and gave me a quote that seemed very reasonable. Since they were already set up and working next door, they were able to do my lot that same day in the afternoon. Another gentleman came that evening and repainted the stripes, etc. They were very prompt and professional and the finished product looks amazing. The asphalt they used seemed very thick making me believe they don't cut it down to save on material costs. I was very happy with everything and had them do my personal driveway the following day. I will be calling them in the future when I need their services once again. <br />"

"They came out and filled cracks, but the stuff soaked right down and left depressions. I asked for them to fill them again and they did but I still have depressions which are going to fill up with snow and water, freeze and crack this winter. That I wasn't happy about. But overall it looks good and they put a good coating over the blacktop. I'd probably use them again, we'll see how the cracks hold up... <br />"

"He gave us a quote which was ~60% the cost of a brand new Allan block wall with permit. The quote was to put the old wall back on using fallen stones and some new stones. I thought that was a bit high for the job, but we were not in a position to put a new wall in. He did the job on time and finished promptly without any delay. His men were professional and fast. He back-filled with some gravel and some construction debris and put new drain tubes. The wall looks good (check picture)."

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Troy, OH

Most driveways wrap up in roughly a week. Allow two to three days for installation, followed by an additional two to three days for the surface to cure. Concrete and asphalt follow this timeline, whereas a gravel job often finishes more quickly. Laying out the schedule upfront makes it easier to plan your week and your budget.

Sealer prevents water, salt, and UV rays from damaging the surface. Apply a fresh coat every one to three years, and you’ll slow down the growth of cracks, avoid pricey repairs, and keep the driveway looking sharp. A local professional can handle the job efficiently and ensure even coverage.

Material is the significant driver when it comes to the lifespan of a driveway. Asphalt stays strong for about 20 years, concrete lasts 30 to 40 years, and paver stones can last 50 to 100 years because you can swap out damaged bricks. With regular top-ups, a gravel drive can also reach the century mark. Knowing these timelines helps you map out long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Repaving strips everything down and starts fresh, letting you change the layout or improve drainage before pouring new material. Resurfacing, on the other hand, adds a top layer over a solid base, giving you a facelift without the need for a complete demolition. Go with repaving when the base is failing; choose resurfacing when the structure is sound and you just need a new surface.
