"I waited a month before getting a test kit I called and was told there was something wrong with the Angies list orders but that I would be receiving a kit soon. It wouldve ben nice if they called me to tell me that though. The test results were quick and on par with other radon test I had done locally."

"The testing went very well. Unfortunately due to mistakes that we made BEFORE we engaged them, the clean up and testing were both more complicated than they typically would have been. The EA people worked with us to clearly explain our options and complete their work in a timely fashion. They timing and scheduling were critical for us because of a hospital stay my mother in law was having. We were very pleased both with the quality of their work and their flexibility in working around our scheduling constraints"

"The estimator came to the residence. First for the area we noticed the water damage, and then a second time to check an area we were told by another company was also damaged. <br /> The estimate was exactly what we paid, and they did not try to sell us anything else. <br /> The workers showed up on the day we had previoulsy scheduled and the work was completed in a timely manner. They were not loud or obnoxious. My wife was ill that day, and they were as quiet as roofers can be. They stayed until the job was complete and then were gone. <br />"

"Kyle has a keen eye for detail and his inspection report was not only thorough, it prepared us for what repairs we knew we needed to budget for after we bought our home. If you are buying a home, especially an older home like ours, you would benefit from having the most detail oriented report possible."

"I had worked with Arizona Foundation Solutions before. They had installed a moisture removal system as a heaving remediation solution. During my renovations, I noticed a crack in the foundation that was a little more than 1/16 of an inch wide. I felt comfortable fixing it myself. However, I wanted it done professionally and have it backed by a transferable warranty. Therefore, I decided to go the with Arizona Foundation Solutions. The person handling the actual repair was Tom Linear. I was very impressed by his commitment to doing the job right even before the start of the job. The original bid was different from the work that was actually needed since I had just completed removing tile to reveal the extent of the damage. I shared this change with Tom. He assured me that all would be handled. He also warned me about the limitations of the repair. Part of the crack was in close proximity to the wall. Due to this and the need for even more, possibly unnecessary work, this part of the crack would not be stitched. However, the work would still fall under the warranty. I was blown away by his skill, knowledge, patience, and willingness to not only listen to my concerns and answer questions but actually teach me me the techniques so I would feel comfortable doing it myself in the future if needed. Tom is an excellent teacher. As mentioned previously, the scope of the project was changed. He performed extra work that was not in the original contract and would not fall under the warranty, and was done without expectation of extra charge. I cannot say enough positive things about Tom. He is passionate about his work and is willing and able to share it with others. As a result of his visit, I not only have confidence in the repair that was done, but I also have confidence in myself to be able to apply similar fixes in future. Tom, thank you so much!"

"They get an A+. From the time John walked in the door until the project was completed, all aspects were addressed in a very professional manner and the quality of the workmanship (including their subs) was outstanding. They extracted a premium for the project however it was well worth it. They are definitely pros."

"I am currently in the process of preparing my home to put up for sale.  I knew I had some serious trouble spots of water intrusion and mold that needed attention, and I was very worried it would cost tens of thousands of dollars to fix.  Thankfully, my realtor recommended Blue Water Restoration.  After receiving a thorough and very fair estimate, I hired Blue Water to complete the work.  Armando Lopez supervised the project from start to finish, providing me with updates all throughout the work, which took about 6 days to complete.  Irrigation water had seeped into my living room, around the fire place; a backed-up condensation line from the HVAC unit leaked through the return air grille into my formal dining room; and a plumbing leak in my master bath destroyed the vanity and interior wall. Blue Water Restoration took the care to seal off all areas, remove the contaminated material, coordinate testing to ensure complete removal of all particulate matter, and then proceeded to rebuild each area (re-drywall, texturize the walls, install new baseboard, re-grout surrounding tile, etc.) to the point I requested, so now I can bring in a separate contractor to paint the interior of my house.  Clean-up was exceptionally thorough for very messy and detailed work. I cannot say enough about the quality of this work performed by Blue Water.  Armando and his team of experts have made these parts of my home brand new.  I highly recommend them."

FAQs for radon gas testing projects in Tucson, AZ

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the U.S. The gas seeps through cracks in foundations and collects in basements and other low areas. Once you breathe it in, radioactive particles lodge in lung tissue and do long-term damage. Because you can’t see or smell radon, the EPA recommends testing your home every two years—and after major renovations—to keep your family safe.

Yes—every home should be tested. The EPA advises doing it at least every two years and any time you remodel, buy, or sell. On average, one in 15 houses nationwide sits above the recommended limit, and the only way to know where yours stands is a formal test. The equipment simply measures gas levels and won’t change your indoor environment, so the process is completely harmless.

Certified radon professionals—often home inspectors or dedicated radon mitigation contractors—handle testing. These radon testing professionals follow EPA protocols and use calibrated instruments to check levels throughout your house. Hiring a certified radon specialist means results you can trust for real estate deals, insurance requirements, and, most importantly, your family’s health.

Inspectors specialize in measuring radon gas levels, while licensed mitigation contractors design and install the systems that remove it. If your test comes back high, your inspector can point you to a qualified mitigation pro who will size and install the right fan, piping, or other equipment to bring levels down.

No—standard home air purifiers don’t touch radon. They’re built to trap dust and pollen, not radioactive gas. If testing shows high levels, you’ll need a dedicated mitigation system that vents the gas from beneath your home to the outdoors. Relying on a room purifier alone won’t keep your indoor air safe.

Opening a few windows in your home might dilute radon for a short time, but the gas seeps back in as soon as they’re closed. For a lasting fix, you’ll need a professional mitigation system—often a sub-slab depressurization fan—that pulls radon from beneath the foundation and safely vents it outside.
