"We had the foundation repaired around our house and the basement repaired due to our drainage problems. This was 17 years ago and we have had no problems since that time. Also, Everdry furnishes a sump pump to us free of charge and we always have an extra sump pump in case the electric power goes off. I would suggest to every new home owner who builds a new house to have Everdry do the waterproofing of the foundation and drainage outside the house. They are wonderful!"

"when tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. I was surprised however that the tech expected me to pay in full before he ordered the part and repaired the problem, but I did using my credit card knowing if there was a issue the credit card co. would have my back, The part was order and Alex fixed it as soon as it came in and was great"

"For the first time in years my basement is totally dry after a rainstorm! What a relief! After hearing horror stories about digging up foundations and incredibly expensive repairs, I finally got it done. It turned out to be simple and at $500. affordable. The guy came and injected the crack with a (urethane?) foam. It oozed out and sealed everything up. The guy was neat and tidy and finished it up really well. If I painted it you'd never know there was a crack. Thanks Guys! I am super pleased!"

"It went very well. I contacted B-Dry and I was able to set up an appointment for an estimate very easily. While setting up the appointment, they let me know they had done a similar repair on the house back in 2001 (two owners ago), and that repair has held up to time. I scheduled the appoinment, they showed up on-time and completed the repair of the new crack that was letting water in. They also threw in chipping out some 'honeycombing' in the foundation that would very rarely let a trickle of water into the basement at no extra charge. While it hasn't rained yet since they repaired of the new crack, given that the 2001 repair hasn't given me any issues, I'm very confident that the new repair will hold up well. Overall, they did a great job!"

"I'm very pleased. I had concerns about dust and fumes from the epoxy. The dust was minimal and fumes were not an issue at all. If I had to do it all over again, I'd set up a box fan with filters, as I've seen on YouTube, but even without that, the dust was not overwhelming. The workers arrived on time, explained what they were going to do and welcomed my checking in on them. When they went to lunch, they cleaned up their work area, (even put the toilet seat down in the basement bathroom), something I didn't expect at all. I had questions when they were at lunch, and the salesman got the answers I needed quickly. A couple of things I would change about this process: 1. After they were done, cleaned the area for the day, and put their equipment away, one of the workers invited me downstairs to approve their work. If I had not approved, it was a bit late for me to object as they were packed and ready to go. I suggest in the future the homeowner be asked for their approval before everything's packed up. Their work looked good, but this seemed like a manipulative tactic that wasn't appreciated. 2. The more experienced of the two workers explained early on that he needed to remove some insulation but assured me he'd put it back when he was done. When I saw that he'd not put it back, I mentioned it. He refused to put it back, saying "It doesn't matter". It was an odd way to end a perfect job up to that point. I was totally pleased with how everything was handled, and then that comment and behavior from him just put a bad taste in my mouth. That evening or the next day, I received a very nice gift from the company that was just a really nice touch. A couple of weeks later, we had heavy rains and I experienced water along the walls where the work was done. Within a week of me raising the concern, an arrangement for a technician to visit my home was made. I appreciate their prompt attention to the matter. I expect it's very simple like needing more epoxy at the base of the straps, so I decided to go ahead and submit this review. It's difficult to find trustworthy people to do work in your home. I'm very relieved I found a company that is totally worthy of that trust and highly recommend Acculevel. The work they did looks good and solid."

"We are very happy with the service! Caleb was very through, explained our options, performed the service in a timely manner. He had to remove the toilet to snake the drain. He did a great job of replacing the toilet and cleaning up! I would highly recommend this company."

"I was referred to Everdry by a family member. My cousin learned about them at a home show. Everdry stopped the water from coming into their basement which also stopped the mold from growing by removing the source of food (water). After hearing his feedback and actually seeing the work that was completed, I contacted Everdry for an estimate. I am so glad I did! I had no idea what I didn't know about why, how, or even where the water was actually coming in from. Greg from Everdry started with a few questions for me, and then we walked thru the basement and around the outside of my home. After doing an initial inspection, Greg spent some time educating me about the history of the company, the benefits of using Everdry, and topped it off with a sketch and detailed explanation of the why, how and where the problems were and how they would fix it. It was actually overwhelming and as the days passed I came up with a long list of questions. I am happy to report Greg came back to my home and spent the time I needed to get all of my questions answered, even though some of them were repeat questions that I simply needed better clarity and understanding on. Greg Lambright not only knows his stuff, but he also communicates it so the average homeowner (non-builder) can understand. Now let's talk options, who doesn't like options? After completing the inspection and assessment of the water and mold in my basement he laid out the options. Not only about different ways to remedy the problem, but also options on how to pay for it. Depending on your circumstances you may not need the full gambit, but I did. I have a big and spacious home. In fact, on multiple occasions throughout the process, different workers commented "wow, the basement just keeps on going". Thankfully Everdry works with a company that provides financing at reasonable rates. The application and approval process was quick and easy. You also don't pay for the work until it is 100% complete and you are 100% completely satisfied. One other bonus, I was already able to refinance that loan for a lower rate and zero penalty. It's been two months since my basement was waterproofed by Everdry. It was March, and we've had plenty of snow and rain since that time. My basement is still dry. The sales team, office staff ,and hard-working manual labor crews at Everdry were all great from start to finish. The scheduling process was easy and they were flexible with the my work schedule. Everyone was able to answer my, what seemed to be, endless questions. Most people dread contractors coming into their home. Not in this case. Each person was kind and respectful and I looked forward to their arrival. The post-completion follow up was just as great as the communication during the process. Though I am truly thrilled with my dry basement, I think the greatest bonus is that their work comes with a lifetime transferable warranty. My basement is dry, the mold has stopped growing and we are working towards having new living space in our basement! Not only am I satisfied, but I also have peace of mind.Thank you Everdry! clc of Kalamazoo"

" I had a new sump pump installed. We were having issues with our old sump. It was constantly overflowing. I had them install a new "super sump". The technician also installed a new, larger crock, discharge pipe, dry well & "freeze guard". They were in & out in about 4 hours & left little to clean up. The technicians took care to place a runner on the floor so that dirt would not be tracked into the house. They left very little dust even though they had to use a jack hammer to break up concrete in the basement. The finished product looks very neat & clean as opposed to the old system that I had installed myself.

The price seemed high at first until I saw all of the work that was involved. Most of the price was labor which I don't think I would have wanted to tackle myself.

The initial estimate of $8200 was for a "complete" system including a drain tile that would have been installed along the interior perimeter of the basement. I decided to go with just the sump system for now. I can add the drain tile later if I still have problems."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Union City, MI

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
