"We used Toney's Floor Care to clean the carpets and a throw rug of our new house. Stephen was responsive and communicative throughout the entire process. We had to reschedule at the last minute because of a power outage. Stephen was understanding and squeezed us in the next day. The carpets and the throw rug look great and smelt great! Would highly recommend."

"The crew did an excellent job. They were very careful of walls, furniture, etc. They cleaned up very well and put everything back in its place. (I removed all lamps, small items, and knick-knacks and emptied out closets along the floor.) They worked all day non-stop to complete. Also Reuben Phagen, the sales person in the Charlotte store, was very personable and worked with me to choose the right carpeting and pad, as well as to schedule on a convenient date. He came to the house with sample boards and got me any samples that I requested. Also they had interest free financing available. This vendor was easy to work with and I would highly recommend. I did some price comparison with other vendors, and they were the best for what I wanted. I love the carpeting color and soft texture. I chose Shaw Dreamweaver with 8 lb. pad with pet protection."

"<p>This company did a wonderful job finding a nice carpet in our budget, moved all the furniture in record time, even breaking down all the beds and putting them all back together, installed the new carpets and completed the job in one day. It was very impressive and couldn't have gone better. We even saved a little money unexpectedly when the installer recommended we keep our good pads instead of replacing them thus reducing his hourly pay. I will never call anyone else to replace carpets in our home. Thank You team- we love our new carpeting. </p> <br />"

"Spencer managed the job very well.  He was very present and available, had good advice, and was attentive to problem solving any surprises that needed to be attended to in a timely way.  He had very good teams for all the various jobs required (hardwood install, carpet install, custom runners, staing wood etc).  It was completed in a very timely way and we are thrilled with the results.  We definitely recommend them! <br />"

"Not only did the service provider arrive early but he also set up all equipment in a timely manner and completed the job quickly.  We had originally thought that the area rugs would have to be taken back to the dealer's shop and laundered there but the rep was able to shampoo them right at our home with no watery mess at all.  We were very pleased.  The carpets look great and smell fresh and clean.  Also, the price was exceptional.  We would definitely have them back to clean our rugs.  The service was great."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Vale, NC

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
