"Excellent communication from the first meeting to look at the roof, through establishing the contract, scheduling, and completing the work. There was unexpected additional action required at the end of the project and, Rene, the Superintendent, followed up and had that completed ASAP. I also want to comment that the roof replacement was done on my parents' home in S.Calif. I live in the Seattle area. I had hoped to be there during the roof replacement but the timing was such that I could not be. Rene was accessible to me by phone or email if I had questions or was working through details on behalf of my parents. He always responded in a timely manner. My wife (a Property Manager) and I over the years have become very experienced with Contractors involving home remodeling repair & construction. After obtaining a couple of quotes on our project. I met Chris Palyan from Newhaus Roofing & Construction. Chris Came to our home. Got on the roof, and also inspected from the attic. This was going to be a large project. Including removal & reinstallation of dozens of solar panels and removal of the original concrete tiles. We had been ignoring our known roof leaks for a long time. Southern California droughts allowed us to keep delaying the roof replacement. Those decisions did cost us dearly. YES we knew better. Chris provided a very complete quote. Including excellent products to be used. In our case anticipating damage under the tiles. Chris included in his proposal identified costs for correction as it was uncovered. "August Roofing sent Daniel to meet with me to assess where the areas may be that were causing the leaks. Daniel took his time and really evaluated my entire roof to find where he felt the leaks were occurring. He even looked into my drop ceiling to find traces of a leak. Once he gave me the proposal, the workers who did the job were prompt, efficient and left no mess. I had to wait three months after the work to see if the leaks had been corrected as it was summer and we had no rain. After the first rain we found that the roof was totally fixed but we had a leak around a sky light. I called August Roofing to come back down to address this. They were back out within a week and patched around the sky light as needed. Although I will have to wait for the next rain to see if the patching worked, I have full confidence that if there is any leaking August Roofing will make it right. Everyone at this company, from the person who answers the phone, to the workers that do the job, are pleasant and professional. As a building owner, I am thrilled to have a great roofing company when needed. I had two other bids, one of which wanted to sell me a whole new roof and the other much higher in price for a patching but they were not sure where leak was coming from. "I had quotes from three roofing companies, two of them offering only extensive replacement work that didn’t fit our needs. Why replace a couple whole sections of a 30-year old concrete tile roof now when there’s only a small patch of missing tiles on each? The rest of the roof is still going to be 30 years old anyway. The other company took nearly a month to get someone over here for a look, said they’d do the repair that I asked for, then took 12 more days to email a quote. I accepted that, asked about their schedule, and was told they’d get back to me. That’s where it ended. No more response. Then, I found Vision. Their business address is close. I stopped by to submit my request, and left. Ben Elbaz was already calling me back when I got just a few blocks down the street. He came to the house the same day. We also looked at our other house a few hundred feet away, where I had almost finished some work myself. Ben found a few more issues there that I wasn’t going to mention. I got a quote for the necessary damage repair, finish-up of my own uncompleted work, plus his roof “tuneup” on each house that would take care of whatever else needed attention. A bit more than I was seeking, more expense, but sensible as long as the tuneup was something worthwhile. Next morning, I texted Ben “let’s get started”. He brought a crew of two, who got it all done in one long day. I thought my uncompleted work had gone pretty well, but they evidently thought otherwise. They started over. Got rid of an unused chimney pipe flashing that I mistakenly thought I wanted 30 years ago, and closed up the useless hole with new ply sheathing and tile. Two upstairs bay windows have half-pyramid shaped tile roofing over them that didn’t turn out so well when the house was built, they’ve been ugly from the start. Unbelievably, these roofers fixed them up and they look pretty good now! I didn’t even ask them to do that. The tuneups were worth it, absolutely. And this good stuff all happened just Four days after I first contacted Vision Roofing. We’ll likely get a few more years out of our roofs, then call Vision Roofing again. Thanks, Ben!"
