"Jeff and his electricians were very nice to work with and responsive throughout the whole project from permit application to rewiring to inspection by the township. We expected wall and ceiling damage when rewiring our 102 year-old house, but were very pleased with the care that the team took to minimize the repairs we would need to do after the rewiring. We really had far fewer repairs than we envisioned, which was great! The electricians were very friendly and respectful and worked extremely hard each day. The rewiring was a difficult job given the stone construction, plaster walls and age of our house, but took under two weeks to complete. During the initial inspection, the township requested that one outlet be GFI-protected in the bathroom. I called Jeff and he had a team there the next business day to change the outlet and we passed the re-inspection with no problem. "A crew of four men, plus Mike, the owner and chief electrician, came.  I had bought replacement posts and lights at Home Depot.  They took out the old post lights and put in the new ones.  Several of the old ones were not working because the contacts (under the ground) had rusted.  The newly installed ones are working fine now.

"After doing some research, I had a preliminary view of what needed to be done and the cost of the material for the work. Then, I contacted 5 electricians to get written estimates for the work. Four of the electricians quoted a price that was more expensive than Glenn. One electrician suggested replacing my current 200 AMP, 30-circuit electrical panel that was maxed out at 38 circuits, with a 40-circuit panel thereby only gaining 2 additional slots. Another electrician suggested instead installing a 100 AMP, 20-circuit sub-panel, which was the correct recommendation, per my research. Glenn also suggested this approach, so I immediately knew that I was dealing with a straight shooter. While price was an important part of the decision making process for selecting an electrician, price was not the only reason I decided to go with Glenn. Of course, he had outstanding reviews on Angle’s list (A ratings only), but of all of the electricians, he was the MOST thorough and MOST detailed at exploring what needed to be done and he explained everything step by step ... he also asked a lot of questions and analyzed my current electrical setup before making a recommendation. He provided a very comprehensive recommendation with 3 different options for me to choose from that provided an efficient sub- panel set up that was also cost efficient, but all 3 recommendations solved my problem. I decided to go with a 100 AMP 20 circuit sub-panel that will provide me with plenty room to expand in the future. Glenn completed all work in 2 days and I was extremely pleased with the job he did. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable regarding his trade, he is also very professional, quite personable; a very nice person. I decided it was time to replace the bathroom fan in our bathroom. I thought I could do it myself. I was able to remove the old bathroom fan, but not without damaging some of the drywall. I purchased a new bathroom fan, which was bigger than the old one, from Lowes. I quickly found out that this was beyond my capabilities. The wiring was to complex for me to figure out (the new fan had six or seven electrical connections and the electrical wire in the house only had four). After struggling in a cramped space above the bathroom for about two hours (we live in a bi-level home), I threw in the towel.

I went onto Angie's List to find an electrician and came across two that got good ratings. I forget who the first one was, but I was able to talk to a receptionist at Mr. Electric and they said they'd have a technician contact me to determine when the work could be done. I received a call from the technician within an hour or two. I was extremely happy when they told me they could come over the next day to perform the work! They said they'd be over around 1 pm the following day and I was told they would call me before they were headed over.

The following day I got a phone call telling me they'd be over around 11:30 in the morning. Perfect! James Good arrived promptly at 11:30. Prior to entering the house, he donned booties to cover his shoes. It seemed automatic. James asked to see the unit and the location of the install. He noticed that the exhaust tube was not secured to the soffit with a vent. It was just directed towards the soffit and sitting on top of it. He informed me that current codes state that the exhaust has to be vented to the outside. I agreed that was what I wanted done. James told me he would write up an estimate and then see if I wanted the work performed. He could have come back with any number, I wasn't about to go back up into our attic!!

He came back in and showed me the estimate of $228.32. I thought that was a little high, considering the old unit had already been removed and the hole for the new unit was already made, but again, I wasn't going to go back into that attic and I wanted a professional to make the electrical hook ups for the new unit.

James went right to work, was extremely polite and professional! He laid a tarp out on the floor in the bathroom to contain and mess that was made. He even ensured that the old switches were the same pattern as the previous unit, that the left switch would work the light and the right switch would work the fan. He pointed out that the lights for the unit were a specialty type, which I was unaware of, and said that he might have some in his van. The ones he had were old and he didn't charge me for them. I had to go out later to purchase new bulbs, but that's on me. James ensured that the unit operated properly and that the vent that he installed worked properly as well.

Overall I was extremely happy with my choice of Mr. Electric and with their technician, James Good! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an electrician!

"Return Air Vent Move - Tech cut a crude opening in the ceiling framework which did not properly fit the elbow duct he installed. Did not clean up sawdust and did not replace insulation he moved. Displeased with the quality of workmanship of their technician. Repaired the sloppy workmanship myself due to time constraints for my construction addition. Bowman owner said I should have called back to let them fix it. Plumbing for Half Bath - Owner arrived on Oct 9th, 2018 to give me a free estimate to do the job. He did not like the fact that I mentioned the poor quality of the Return Air Vent Move job. After reviewing my half bath requirements, he left but never got back to me with a quote for the job. Called HL. Bowman approximatley 3 weeks later on Oct 29th, 2018 to inquire about my quote. Rep. said he couldn't find anything regarding my quote request. He said he would check on it and get back to me. As of Nov 1, 2018 I have still not received a return call or my quote; very dissapointing. Will not use this vendor for any of their services. Got a quote from H.B. McClure Plumbing to do the rough in plumbing; $2100. Will probably use them because I have been happy with the quality of their workmanship in the past."
