"In communications with RainDrop, we specifically mentioned that we needed to replace an asphalt shingle roof with metal roofing primarily due to the roof slope, and some other factors. A sales representative was sent out to evaluate the existing asphalt roof and confirmed that it needed replacing, but afterward, he spent almost an hour pitching various asphalt shingle products. He was clearly knowledgeable and knew his stuff about asphalt roofing. While the rep was friendly, he didn't seem to have as much in-depth knowledge or experience with installing metal roofing. We were confused about why a rep with more metal roofing knowledge was not sent out as we had no interest in the asphalt shingles. Therefore, we ultimately did not feel comfortable selecting RainDrop to install a new metal roof."

"Excellent! We love the texture and color of the shingles. They were extremely efficient and got the job done before expected. I appreciated the dry rot repair and flashing repair around the chimney. Our roof looks fantastic and we have piece of mind this winter. They even took care with our 25 year old Japanese vine maple. Over all we are very happy."

"Rufus Aylwin and Aylwin Construction have been operating for years in the Portland area. We find they are easy to work with. This was the second time Rufus helped us out. He was strongly recommended by a friend and Realtor. The roof was leaking and Rufus immediately sent members of his team to tarp the leaking part of the roof It was an old roof and overdue for replacement. The new roof was applied after installing several damaged plywood sheets. We no longer live in the Portland area so this had to handled long-distance. We have confidence in their professionalism."

"I bought a house that had a very neglected roof. James replaced rotted sheeting and added vents and made some suggestions that really made for a beautiful finished roof. He was prompt and friendly. I highly recommend them."

"I would hire again, want to say that first. But I tend to review throughly and frankly. The project took longer to both get started and to complete than quoted. The start date was apparently complicated by things beyond control, but that wasnât helpful to my situation. Jason had no problem getting me the brand of shingle I wanted. Clean up was ok and plant protection was ok, perhaps a balance- I am still picking things up, but would rather do that than have more plantings stomped. That is a communication thing, I feel. I called them back for a rotting eave, that they repaired at no additional charge. I appreciated that, but I understood that they would look for and repair any problems they found. I got the impression that they felt it was not really part of the roof, and I understand both opinions. The crew was courteous and friendly, the roof is beautiful and does not leak and I would hire again."

"I was initially planning on an addition to my 10 yr old house. As the existing attic space was evaluated, the contractor found that I actually had a hole in my roof and the initial roofing work had been subpar. The defects were explained and I could see I really needed a whole new roof. I was given choices of shingles and learned about a new product that helps to prevent moss growth on the roof. The roofers worked together and very efficiently. Also the work was done with care as to not damage my gardens. They cleaned the area up nicely at the end of the day. My neighbor noticed my roof and asked if my contractor would evaluate his roof. The contractor did so that day. He also had his roof replaced right after mine. So nice we received our new roofs right before the fall through spring rain started. This company besides doing excellent work definitely pays attention to the smallest details, listens attentively to how you expected the project to turn out and were very kind. Pat."
