"My wife and I recently had a lot of plumbing work done in our 1962 home. The work required opening our plaster walls and ceilings at several locations. Hammers were used and major damage was done. Richard’s crew was able to repair all the openings to look like the original plasterwork. No one would ever know there had been major damage. Following the repair work, Richard’s crew remove the plaster “popcorn” from our ceilings. This “popcorn” was actual plaster, not the soft type installed over drywall in the 1970s. After removing the “popcorn”, a beautiful pattern commonly called “clouds” was added to provide a very modern look to our ceilings. A second crew then came in to paint the ceilings. We are very pleased with the results and have received a lot of great comments from our friends about the quality of the work. We have been able to make several referrals. All the work was done as requested and in a very timely manner. They were very careful to cover all surrounding areas to prevent any damage and they did a great job cleaning up afterward. All their work is exceptional, and the cost was very reasonable. We have used System One three times previously going back almost twenty years and their work has always been of very high quality. "Last week, I noticed a lot of bees flying around behind a three foot stucco wall that encloses my front porch. I discovered that they were flying in and out of a small hole in the wall. Because of the position of foliage in that area, I couldn't get a clear shot at it with bug spray without getting closer than I cared to. I found ABC in the Yellow Pages and checked the reviews here on Angie's List, and called ABC at around 3pm. They said they would have someone there between 4 and 6pm. Two workers arrived at around 5pm, checked out the situation, and gave me two options for remediation. The actual work took about 10 minutes. The worker who I dealt with was very pleasant and helpful. He said that if for some reason the bees were still around in a week, they would come back, but as of this morning there is no sign of bee activity. <br /> BTW bee removal is not cheap. I've had it done before by another company in a different part of my house, so I've had some experience. However, I don't enjoy dealing with angry bees close up, so I'm happy to pay someone else to deal with it. I did get the 10% senior discount noted on Angie's List. You can expect the minimum charge to be anywhere from $250 to $500."

"I went with Juon Painting because I felt Edwin was an honest and sincere businessman and his estimate was one of the lowest I had received (Estimates ranged from $2500 to $10000!). I did have a hard time getting a hold of him when I actually wanted the work done, but it was the Christmas holidays and they were out of town. Once I did get a hold of them, they were ready to start work the next day. Three workmen showed up on time and started the work. They scraped the ceiling in one day and I have high ceilings in the living room. They did a beautiful job of patching up all the holes and cracks in the condo I just bought. The paint job is seamless and the colors I chose were spot on. The lead painter ended up staying late the last day to finish painting the cabinets because I had new countertops put in and didn't realize that I should have scheduled it for another day. He even helped me remove an old doorknob as he waited for the countertop guys to finish so he could paint the kitchen cabinets. They finished a 3BR, 1250 sf unit in three days. I am very pleased with the work. The estimate I received includes painting of the new baseboards once I get the flooring installed. I would totally use them again. Their estimates were very reasonable. The higher estimates claimed they were high because removal of the acoustic ceiling would take days and would be difficult to remove. Juon proved them all wrong as they removed it all in one day and patched the ceiling in the same day! I would highly recommend them and will use them again for future projects."
