"I bought a new home and we knew that there was some plumbing issues that we wanted to get someone working on right away. Before we got moved in we had Billy and Howard come out to put in the kitchen sink in and to fix the leak in bathroom sink. When they arrived, they realized that I had ordered the wrong size kitchen sink. They were incredibly gracious about my mistake and went above and beyond duty to help get the right measurements and to talk me through what I should be looking for. We moved into the house on Tuesday. On Friday, after shower and a load of laundry I noticed water coming up out of the main drain. I am a first time homeowner, I had no idea what that meant. I did another load of laundry after mopping up the floor and confirmed that the water was coming up from the drain, not coming from the washer. I called and got Chris to come out to take a look at it. Chris could not have been more kind, more reassuring, and quick at solving problems (and there were several, like the previous owner cementing over the access drain). I cannot recommend this company enough. As a person who knows nothing about plumbing, I was really impressed by how well Billy, Chris, and Howard were able to explain what was happening, what my options were, what the risks were, and frankly that they were able to do all of that without a tinge of condescension. "McDonough's is my go-to for any drain problems!  The guys who came were very professional, helpful and all around great.  They worked a tough clog out of the drain line coming from the laundry room, then checked the main sewer line from the house and did some preventative clearing on some roots (the house has a history of roots clogging the main line and McDonough's has cleared it twice already, which the guys knew so they checked while they were already there and had the equipment ready).  The work was well done, they replaced some aging parts proactively, and they cleaned everything up like they had never been there.  Fantastic!

"Outstanding!! In no time, the drains were running free and clear of that disgusting buildup that I never knew existed. This contractor definitely knew what he was doing. Before leaving he carefully cleaned the little bit of unavoidable mess (really really minimal!) and all I had to do was return a few displaced household items from under my sink. I was extremely happy with the service which is guaranteed for 90 days. Scheduling was very flexible and, upon arrival, the contractor went right to work, not wasting any time. "The plumber from Randy Lane did a good job of the plumbing work and also a very good job of explaining what he was doing. Our house is fairly old and a lot of sections of copper pipe were corroded. As we can not afford to do all of them at once, we had to replace just the pipes and sections that are most corroded and/or leaky. The plumber helped me prioritize which sections should be re-piped now, and which ones could reasonably be watched and replaced in the future. He explained this clearly and without pressure, then when I decided on the best approach he got to work on it. As always, I have confidence in the work that was performed by Randy Lane. Over the years at our previous house and our current one, we've had several different plumbers from Randy Lane perform various types of plumbing work for us, and the work has always been quality. I highly recommend this company.

"Great plumber!  If you're looking for an honest, thorough and affordable plumber I wouldn't look any further.

 I had problems with low pressure in my hot water.  I got three estimates and the other two guys (Southtown and Roark) insisted on replacing all the hot water steel pipes in the basement right to the water main for $3000-$4000.  

Chris had a much more reasonable approach.  He gave me an estimate with three choices 1)re-piping the first 10 feet or so, 2)re-piping all the hot steel pipes in the basement and 3) re-piping all the hot and cold steel pipes in the basement.  He was very flexible and said that he would try the least expensive option first, then if it didn't work, he would try the 2nd and 3rd if necessary.  He had two of his employees come out to do the re-piping.  It turned out that the least expensive option worked great, so I only had to spend a few hundred bucks.  Compared to the other estimates I got Chris saved me $2000-$3000.  Also, his estimate for repiping all the steel pipes was still less than half of what the other guys wanted to do the same work.  Chris came by after the piping was done and also fixed my problematic kitchen faucet for only an extra 50 bucks while he was here.  I'd definitely use them again."
