General contractor and sub-contractor. Free estimates. For our service department their are no service fees, you only pay if we perform work for you. For service work their are no travel costs if you are within 60 miles of one of our offices. Credit cards accepted. Payment for all service work is due upon completion. In some cases their may be a requirement to pay for material upon delivery before work will be started. For construction projects please contact us for a bid. We travel anywhere and everywhere. We are a family run business, everyone you deal with is a family member and partner in our business so we all have a personal interest to provide the best possible service. We all have superior knowledge in the different trades we selected to specialize in. When we bring all these skills together you have a general contractor that really can do just about anything and do it well. We are a jack of all trades master of all. If we can't do it the best we don't do it at all. No job is to small so please give us a chance to give you a no obligation, no hassle estimate. If your just wondering how much that project might cost but you don't have the money now then give us a call. We can give you a quote so you know what your saving for. At Shepard Construction we would rather you get a bid from us now so you'll have us in mind later when it's time to get that job done. Please any questions you might have are questions we would love to answer. Also there are things we don't do. Be assured though that we have a sub-contractor who does. If you contact us for a service we don't provide we will refer you to one of our tried, trusted and true sub-contractors. "I hired Scott on August 17, 2018 to do some minor electrical, plumbing and some sheet rock repair in preparation for some kitchen cabinets being installed. I made it clear that the time to complete the project was very important because the cabinets had already been purchased and were waiting at Lowes for installation. He assured me that he could complete the job in just a few days and asked for a deposit of $300.00 to start. I wrote the check and asked him to start asap. (the check was cashed that same afternoon). He said he would like to get an early start, and we agreed that he would be at my house the next morning at 8:00am (the whole household had to get up early to accommodate this schedule) He never showed up until about 9:15 am. He said he had to take his daughter to work. He only worked until 10:15 am and then had to leave for the day. He said that he could not return until Tuesday morning because he had prior commitments. I texted him Monday night just to make sure he would be there on Tuesday. He indicated that he would be there at 8:30 am. He showed up at 9:15 am and worked for about 45 mins and left. He told me that he had to take one of his children to the Instacare. And then he had to go to Park City for something and asked if he could stop by on his way back around 9pm, just to go over what I wanted. (I had already giving him plans for the whole job). At 9pm he texted me and said something came up in Park City and he was just leaving. He still had to pick up his wife in Salt Lake City and then he would be at my house. That was at least 1 ½ hours of travel time. I told him it would be too late. He promised he would have the whole day Wednesday and would be at my house by 10am. He texted me on Wednesday at noon and said he was on his way. I called him at 1:30 wondering where he was AGAIN and left a message (he never answers his phone). He texted back again saying he was on his way. He got to my house about 2:00 and finally worked for a few hours (till 5:30). He texted me at 2:00 saying he was up at the University and was on his way to me. An hour later he texted again saying his car was over heating…… got to my house at almost 5pm. I sent him away. I guess he gets to keep the $300 dollars I gave him….. He had worked a total of maybe 5-6 hours. (Only really did about 1 ½ hours’ worth of work). My son had to redo most of what he did because it was not done right. By this time my son had taken the 1 ½ days off and had finished the whole project."

"Do not use Eckles Paving!! These guys are unscrupulous!! Their shoddy work has pretty much bankrupted me. I hired Eckles to redo the driveway at my duplex 2 summers ago. The duplex that I have owned with no problems for 22 years. The duplex that my mom has called home for 20 years. The winter following their driveway replacement, I began having water/moisture problems that, long story short, cost me $70,000 to fix. It took lots of investigating over the course of a year but it was finally determined (by 3 separate contractors and a different asphalt company) that the driveway that Eckles dis for me slopes toward my house causing all water, rain, snow to run directly into the home. I contacted Eckles and not only will they not accept responsibility for the damages, they won’t even fix the driveway!! I have had to take out loans that I am struggling every month, working 10 hours a day and 6 days a week, to make the payments on, just to fix the damage that was caused and now we are heading towards winter and I need to come up with $9000 to pay a different company to replace the faulty driveway so that the damage does not start all over again. No one will loan me any more money. I am maxed out. I will be forced to sell the duplex that I have poured all of my blood, sweat and tears into for the last 22 years in hopes that it would provide me with an income in retirement. Not to mention, I will have to move my mother from her home. Their contract, that I unfortunately did not read before signing, states that they can not be held liable for any damages that they cause to your property or your neighbor’s property. Ridiculous! How do these guys sleep at night? How can they call themselves a reputable company when they won’t even fix their mistakes? I had to makeshift a dam to keep the water from going in my house. Now every time it rains I have a 3 inch deep puddle in front of the door. This is my warning to you, Do not ever under any circumstances use Eckles Paving. And always read your contracts before you sign them. I learned my lesson the hard way"
