"Mitch Tolson is wonderful. He is experienced and knowledgeable. I had a variety of things in my condo that needed repairing and he did every one of them. His work is excellent and he is one if the nicest people I have ever met. I am already prioritizing other things around here that need attention. I will always call him first in the future. Unless heâ s too busy for me, I will hire him every time."

"We had a fabulous experience working with Tommy and his incredible team at Bent Palm. They worked quickly and efficiently to make our screened in porch dreams come true. Tommy worked tirelessly to help us acquire the special permits we needed and went above and beyond to deliver a spectacular addition to our home. We were very impressed with the communication, attention to detail and fantastic workmanship. We’ve already recommended Bent Palm to our close family friends as well as our neighbors. "

"Cliff came out to give an estimate on some exterior work I needed on my home. His thouroughness in evaluating the scope of work needing to be done convinced me he was who I wanted to do the work. The quote was detailed and reasonable. Gave a start date and time and met that schedule. He and his coworker (Buddy) were not only professional, knowledgeable and friendly they completed the work in a timely manner and to my satisfaction. They were very meticulous and kept work area organized and clean. I would not hesitate to recommend them for any home repairs."

Customers say: Terrific value

"Dean was very professional and always on time. I was pleased with the quality of his work when he was finished. He added a new addition for my bathroom, removed a wall in my kitchen, he closed in a patio to make it living space for an extra living room. I was happy with his work so I had him re-do my kitchen cabinets, and tile through out the kitchen & my bathroom. I was always changing or adding something & he was very patient with me and when there was a problem he took care of it right away to make it right. I would hire him again."

"Edward Ryan worked with us every step of the way... he helped us get the designs and permits and did a large amount of the work himself. He has a great work ethic and kept everything moving forward. The subcontractors he did use were very professional. They did such a great job that you would have a hard time figuring out where the addition was put on if you didn't know where to look. I fully intend to use him again for home renovations we have planned."

FAQs for addition to existing structure building service projects in Vero Beach, FL

You can typically raise your roof by four to eight feet, depending on your home's structure and roof design. The exact amount depends on factors like roof slope and framing support. Raising the roof creates additional interior space, enhances natural light, and increases your home's value. Consult a professional to determine the feasible height increase for your home.

Yes, you need a building permit to raise your roof. Obtaining a building permit ensures your project complies with local building codes and safety regulations. A professional contractor can assist with the permit and inspection process and ensure all legal and safety requirements are met. Your contractor will be familiar with building codes in your area, which can differ between cities or states.

While it's possible to raise a flat roof, it requires extensive structural modifications. Flat roofs lack the attic space and support structures of pitched roofs, so raising them involves significant engineering to ensure safety and durability. This process can be complex and costly, so professional assessment is essential before undertaking a project of this magnitude.
