"Tim, a subcontractor for Get It Done, came out and did the estimate on some exterior wood repair to our chimney. This was a project that had been badly botched by another contractor who is no longer in business.   I liked Tim right away. He didn't lecture, badmouth or upsell. He listened to my concerns, told me what he could do and how he would do it.  Where other contractors had told me that I needed to replace most of the wood, Tim kept saying, "No, don't replace that because there's no need to." I hired  Get It Done even though they weren't the low bidder because Tim represented the company so well.
   Tim and his helper showed up right on time and worked a 12-hour day the first day. A big part of the challenge of this project was that water had leaked in the chimney so we didn't know exactly what we were up against until Tim started opening the damaged places up. Thankfully he didn't hit too many 'surprises' but every time that he did, he called me over, showed me the problem and explained what he was going to do to fix it. I spent $435 more than the estimate but it was a very reasonable expense for repairing rotten wood that we had no way of seeing until the project was started. For example, two pieces of the interior framing and the plywood under the metal chimney cap were rotted but weren't visible until the metal cap had been removed. There were also two places where the chimney joined the roof that required a creative solution which Tim took care of.  The priming and painting of the replacement wood was done very well.  Tim caulked everything well, also. We had originally planned for this project to take three days but Tim was finished by 4PM of the second day.  There was nothing to clean up; they had disposed of all of the rotten wood. I found out after the fact that Tim is a fully-qualified master carpenter capable of building anything from a storage shed to an entire house.  I would definitely recommend this company and will be using them again for future projects. They definitely 'Get It Done' !
